Watch this 85-year-old grandmother try to use Google Home!
January 5th, 2018 under Awesome Videos. [ Comments: none ]

Ben Actis’ girlfriend got his awwwwdorbale 85-year-old Italian grandmother a Google Home for Christmas and Maria Actis could not wait to try out this new form of technology. Therefore, they plugged it in and tried to teach their sweet nana how to use it. That turned out to be theirs and our Christmas gift. Bless her heart, she tried to understand it. But I agree with her, it is scary.

The loving grandson told People, “The whole day was like that with her!”. No word if she ever got it to play her favorite Italian song.

This guy’s New Year’s resolution is never ice skate again!
January 1st, 2018 under Awesome Videos. [ Comments: none ]

Sherrell Colbert Ross went ice skating in Atlanta, Ga and had a moment on the ice that left her laughing for over 15 minutes. As she was on a break, she saw Jermaine Thompson trying to skate for the first time. Since it was his first time, he could barely stand and was doing everything in his power to not fall on his butt. He actually did an impressive job in by staying on his two feet, but it did not look impressive. It looked so awkward, you could not help but to laugh, eventually, with him. So much so, Ross took out her phone and recorded the stranger skating for dear life.

Eventually, several people came to his aid, but they only made it worse. It was then that his body and the ice got to know each other. Luckily, the only thing he hurt that day, was his pride.

And it was not all bad, because ABC News says that the two strangers connected on Facebook and are now friends who talk every day. At least, the Floridian has a good sense of humor about it.

Since he is a Floridian, you can understand why he had such a rough go at it. The only time we see ice in Florida is at an ice hockey game or the Ice Capades!

Watch Coyote Peterson get bit by a Giant Desert Centipede!
December 27th, 2017 under Awesome Videos. [ Comments: none ]

We have all heard how painful being bit by a bullet ant is, and Coyote Peterson took it one step further than that. He wanted to see what it would feel like to be stung by a Giant Desert Centipede, even though that is the one bug that terrified him. Was he right to be scared?

He was so right. He felt pain like he has never felt before. He screamed in agony and even told his cameraman he could not get the words out to describe the pain he was in because of how excruciating it is. For the first time in Brave Wilderness history, the pain got so bad he asked them to turn off the cameras and extract the venom. That made the pain even worse, but he went back for a second extraction.

When that did not work, he did another first and went to urgent care and sought medical assistance. The morale of the story, if you see a Giant Desert Centipede run as fast as you can away from it. That and do not get stung by one in the name of science of anything else.

And if you are sadist like me, do not tell anyone that you got pleasure out of watching this video. People will think you are weird. At least it will be one of the many reasons they will think that.

What is better than watching a building implosion?
December 4th, 2017 under Awesome Videos. [ Comments: none ]

I do not know about you loving implosions. There is nothing better than hearing that boom, and then watching as the structure collapses in on itself until it is just a cloud of dust. I thought there was nothing better. I was wrong. It is more enjoyable to watch an implosion go wrong.

As was the case yesterday, when they tried to implode Pontiac Silverdome, the former home of the Detroit Lions, and it did not go as planned. In fact, you can say it failed because the stadium was left standing.

What happens next? In the words of Howard Cosell (per The Odd Couple), “If at first you don’t succeed, try, try again.” WDIV says they will try it again at a later date. Will they score a touchdown? We shall see, but I am rooting it fails again because their failure is my new happiness!

Is this the sexiest pre-flight safety demonstration?

Any time we have flown, we are forced to sit through that pre-flight safety demonstration and it is so boring. We have been there and done that. Every now and again there is a flight attendant who spices it up. SouthWest’s Nicholas Demore spiced it up so much, I want to join the mile high club with him. Not only that, I actually listened to what he had to say. Too bad I am not flying anywhere this weekend because I will totally forget where all of those exits are by the next time I need to go across country.

Seriously though, I wish more flight attendants would make it fun like him. I know it is not their job, but it creates an atmosphere that sets up the rest of the flight for them. Don’t you agree? Especially since it is going to be so manic for the next few weeks as people travel for the holidays.
