The true star of the Met Gala
May 2nd, 2023 under Animals. [ Comments: none ]

Kim Kardashian thought she was the Queen of the Met Gala yesterday. She wasn’t. What about the very pregnant Rhianna? Not her, either. Does this year belong to a man like Jared Leto or Lil Nas X? Not to sound catty, but not them either.

So who was it? Everyone was buzzing about a cockroach that stopped everyone in their tracks. Well, everyone but photographer Kevin Mazur who got the roach’s closeup.

The bugger was so popular it got everyone to scream in delight and fright.

So will we see it at the next Met Gala? Variety broke the news, “It is with deep sadness that we must report the #MetGala cockroach was stepped on. #RIP”

Too bad Karl Lagerfeld’s cat wasn’t there. If she was, she could’ve cleaned up the smushed mess.

Move over Pizza Rat, here comes Matzo Rat
April 7th, 2023 under Animals. [ Comments: none ]

via Subway Creatures Official

Remember Pizza Rat, the rat who ate pizza from an NYC subway station? Well, it is Passover, so he can’t have that again until April 13th.

What can he have? He can have matzo. Therefore, when he saw some, he made sure to grab it and take it back to his lair.

At least someone enjoys matzah. Even if it is a dirty rat, a rat I am going to name Jared Kushner. Too soon?

Things were getting catty on the floor of the House of Representatives on Friday night, and the same could be said on MSNBC. That is because Former Congresswoman Katie Hill’s cat decided she wanted to be on television!

I don’t know about you, but we need more kids and animals interrupting liveshots because they make everything better. And lord knows we need that today whenever we watch the news.

Flossie, almost 27, is the World’s Oldest Living Cat
November 25th, 2022 under Animals, Guinness World Records. [ Comments: none ]

In less than two months, Flossie is going to celebrate her 27th birthday. Why is that a big deal? Because Flossie is a cat, and no other feline has been recorded to live as long as her. Because of that, Guinness World Records has declared she is World’s Oldest Living Cat.

Flossie is newly adopted by Vicki Green. The cat was originally adopted as a kitten in 1995, but her mother passed away ten years later. The owner’s sister took the kitty in until she passed away 14 years after her sister. Then that woman’s son decided to bring the feline home. However, after a couple of years, he did not feel that he could take care of Flossie, who is now deaf and going blind. So he brought her into Cats Protection, who knew that Vicki would be the purrfect mom for Flossie’s final years.

Vicki is ensuring that her new best friend will have the best life possible, so she is spoiling her with love and food. Because what else does a cat want?

While Flossie is the oldest living cat, she is not the oldest cat to have lived. That title goes to Creme Puff, who lived from August 3, 1967, until August 6, 2005. 38 years old is going to be a nearly impossible record to break, as much as we would love our cats to live that long.
