The death of Anna Nicole Smith’s 20-year-old son Daniel was caused by a lethal combination of methadone, Zoloft and Lexapro, pathologist Cyril Wecht has revealed to PEOPLE exclusively. Wecht said the drugs caused the cardiac dysrhythmia that led to Daniel’s death. Wecht got the toxicology results from National Medical Services in Willow Grove, Pa., today. Daniel Smith died in his mother’s hospital room Sept. 10 while visiting her in the Bahamas three days after she gave birth to a baby girl named Dannielynn Hope. Smith’s longtime lawyer, Howard K. Stern, revealed Tuesday that he is the father of the little girl.

Even though I know that Cyril Wecht is one of the top coroner’s in the world, I have a tough time beliving these findings.

In a Sept. 26 story about the death of Paul Van Valkenburgh, The Associated Press, relying on information from his wife, erroneously reported that he was co-writer of the 1960 hit song "Itsy Bitsy Teenie Weenie Yellow Polka Dot Bikini" under the name Paul Vance. The American Society for Composers, Authors and Publishers credits Paul Vance, 76, of Westbury, N.Y., and Lee Pockriss of Bridgewater, Conn., with writing the song. Van Valkenburgh was 68 and resided in Ormond Beach, Fla.

One Tree Hill Central
I have been waiting for like six months for this season premiere. I love Tollin/Robbins shows, but the evil production company always end their shows with multiple cliffhangers. I personally think it is cruel and unusual punishment to do it to us viewers. I swear OTH had like six different cliffhangers for their season finale and now I am hearing that not all of them are going to be resolved tonight. It is just too cruel. And talking about cruel, tonight is the makeover edition on America’s Next Top Model. So tune in The CW tonight at 8p to watch ANTM and OTH at 9p! And if you have DVR like me, don’t forget to record Willa Ford getting eliminated off of DWTS!!!

Larry Birkhead wants a DNA test! |

Larry Birkhead, the photojournalist who came forward during Anna Nicole Smith’s pregnancy and claimed to have fathered Smith’s child, tells Us Weekly that he stands by his story. Smith gave birth to a baby girl, Dannielynn Hope, on September 7, but has been mum on the identity of the father. Last night, her longtime lawyer, Howard K. Stern gave an interview to CNN’s Larry King Live saying that he is the "proud father" of the child. In an exclusive interview with Us, Birkhead calls Stern’s comments “laughable." He adds: “I am not surprised he would say this but I am laughing at it. Larry King didn’t even believe Howard." Birkhead also tells Us that he is willing to take a DNA test anytime to prove he is the father. “I have asked for a DNA test and I welcome it." There is no word on whether a paternity test will be administered, but Birkhead is already confident as to the outcome. “I am in good spirits this morning because I know I am the father of the child," he says. "I look forward to having a relationship with my new daughter.”
Us Weekly
I can’t say I blame him because we all know it is his.
