BARBARA EDEN was everybody’s favorite "Jeannie," including GEORGE LOPEZ, who has cast the legendary actress on an episode of his hit ABC TV series, which will air sometime in early 2007. "I was married to the TV growing up, and Barbara is one of the people who became a part of my extended family through TV," George tells ET. "My own TV show has selfishly given me the opportunity to bring in people I admire." Barbara has joined the cast in the role of Ruth, George and Angie’s (CONSTANCE MARIE) new housekeeper, but one who is not all that interested in keeping house. George got the idea from a friend, who had hired a housekeeper who was great with kids, but left the house in a mess. "I think she just loves to do for him," Barbara says. "She just wants to cook, bake and feed him. I feel that way about my dog. Some people like to nurture. That is just the way she is. She just wants to see him eat and be happy. She really doesn’t want to do housework. It isn’t her thing. My mother was a little like that." It has been more than 30 years since "I Dream of Jeannie" left the air and Barbara was a regular on a TV series, but even so, she says she wouldn’t say no if asked to return to the weekly grind. "I am really surprised she isn’t on a show already," George adds. "She is well prepared, brilliant comedically, and just fantastic at everything she is doing." Something else that Barbara is doing is theater. She has joined forces with LARRY HAGMAN, her "I Dream of Jeannie" co-star, and the two are doing performances of Love Letters at venues across the country. "I think it is just a matter of wanting to work," she says of her long-term success. "A lot of people don’t want to work. They don’t enjoy it. They have had some success, but they don’t really enjoy it. I do a lot of theater. I don’t think I would want to sing again, but I like to act."

She looks amazing, will she ever age? On another note I love Love Letters, so if it is coming to your town you should go see it.
