I don't understand why any art gallery would want to show Pete Doherty's artwork that was painted with own blood. Not only because who knows what is in his blood, but it is blood. Ewwww.
Ok, I have an artist friend who actually did a few paintings with pigs blood(Don’t worry, he didn’t slaughter any pigs. He got the blood from a butcher who had already killed the pigs.). Anyway, my friend’s paintings were AWESOME(kinda gross, but AMAZING artwork). One is of GW Bush(my friend is NOT a fan of him and his painting shows that) anoter depicts a fallen soldier(commentary on the war in Iraq-hence, the idea of painting with blood).
My point in bringing up my friend’s blood paintings is that, at least my friend has talent. These pieces of “art” by p. doherty are C.R.A.P. Even I could do better work than that. Actually, my 3 year old niece could do better work than that, and yet HE gets to have his “art” displayed in a gallery. Nice.
