I was hoping Nicole Richie would have kept a few of her pregnancy pounds, guess no such luck. Seriously who has a flat stomach two weeks after giving birth?

I did. And I’m just a normal person. I was 30 when I had my first child. I just always kept myself in pretty good shape. I can be done.
Your muscles remember. Especially after your first kid.
Same here. I was the same age as Nicole and I think that has a lot to do with it. If you’re young and in decent shape the weight just falls off. She still looks a million times better than before.
Also, don’t underestimate what a tummy tuck can do for you. Some celebs (and non-celebs, I assume) option to have a tuck at the same time as their delivery.
People who don’t put on fat during their pregnancy, only the actual baby and extra fluid (blood, water, etc.) don’t have any baby weight to lose after two weeks. It’s not like this was a miracle. Baby is out, and two weeks later, the excess fluid is gone, too. The only thing that sticks around is fat, and you have to put it on in order to need to lise it.

I had my first baby when I ate whatever I wanted and put extra fat weight on, which is not a bad thing to do. It took me 8 months of hard work to lose it.
The second time, I was insanely (keyword ‘insane’) careful, didn’t let myself eat sweets, and was 2lbs less by two weeks postpartum.
I beg to differ about the ‘in decent shape and young’ and the weight falls off. It’s totally hormonal, and everyone’s response is different. When some women breastfeed, they have a hormonal response to hold onto body fat. Some lose it. No matter how good shape you are in. I run two marathons a year and worked out until 36 weeks and still had a hard time losing the weight. (That’s because I actually packed on some lbs when pregnant) Believe me. I was young and in decent shape. I just didn’t have an eating disorder or a ‘lucky’ hormonal reaction

It’s NO big deal to lose a lot of weight after having a child. I was back to a size 2 in less than two weeks after I had my daughter and it wasn’t because I was young (I was 28 years old) and I didn’t diet or exercise to get the weight off either, it just came off on it’s own. I had no stretch marks, no flabby skin and no saggy boobs also. Some people are just lucky and obviously Nicole is one of those lucky people. And it’s not like she is too thin, she looks healthy and beautiful!
I think it honestly depends on the person’s metabolism. My mom was 29 when she had me and gained 40 pounds. She lost it all in a month after I was born and she didn’t exercise and didn’t go on a “diet”. She eats healthy anyway and doesn’t like chocolate or candy much so i’m sure that helps. But you don’t have to starve yourself or get a tummy tuck or work out like crazy to look thin again soon after having a baby.
congrats to Nicole for losing the weight though. she looks adorable!
I did too - even after my 4th child. Matter of fact, went home from the hospital in my normal jeans. I didn’t do anything special, didn’t have any surgery nor did I starve myself.
i was like that after both of my children. i adore nicole!

I have two kids. The 1st was 8lbs the 2nd was 9 &10oz(c-section). I did not receive any stretch marks, and I was down to my original size 3 and weight 105lbs after each child within a month. It all just depends on your body and how strong your muscles are. Do not believe everything you see. I am sure since they have money they can afford “items” to make them to appear slimmer.
yes it does depend on metabolism and the way you looked before i guess. i’ve never had a kid because i’m too young, but my mom says she gained only 10 lbs when she had me and lost it all in 2 weeks or so. i was once on medication and it made me gain about 15 lbs, but as soon as i stopped i lost 20 lbs and more in 2 months.
