[ # ] The Last Man On Earth gives birth to an incredible season finale!
May 7th, 2017 under Will Forte

Tonight’s The Last Man On Earth’s season finale is so good, they couldn’t tell it in a half hour. Therefore, it is an hour long and starts at 9p on Fox.

Ever since the first season, Carol (Kristen Schaal) has wanted to continue humankind, after a virus nearly wiped out all of the population, by having babies with Tandy (Will Forte) aka Phil Miller. While they had a lot of sex, Erica (Cleopatra Coleman) was the first to get pregnant by the other Phil Miller, who is no longer with us. On tonight’s season finale, it is finally time for the first baby after the extremely deadly virus to be born.

Since there are just a pinky fingernail full of people left on Earth, there are no doctors there to help her. Gail (Mary Steenburgen) and Todd (Mel Rodriguez) have done as much research as they can but they do not really know anything about birthing no babies. As the moment gets closer, they run into a problem that makes her labor a lot more complicated than they thought. Will she live to see her baby? Will we have the first baby on Earth?

How does hearing Erica’s screaming effect the other mother-to-be Carol? She is days away from having her baby and she will be in the same boat as Erica. She is scared and is hiding from it all in her little house.

She is not the only one having problems with Erica’s difficult birthing experience, so is little Jasper (Keith L. Williams). Melissa (January Jones) tells Tandy to take him to the park to get away from the tense atmosphere. The two boys (let’s be honest, Tandy is a big boy) go to the waterless water park and have some fun. Until they see something that has them say, “Oh farts.”

And that leads us into the second part of the season finale that will completely blow you away and saying, “Oh farts,” a lot, but I can’t tell you why. I want to because it is oh so good, but it will ruin the set up for next season.

And on that note, Fox why haven’t you picked it up for a 4th season already. It is doing better than all of your other comedies. Not only in ratings, but also in creativity and heart. While most end of the world shows are all about people against people, LMOE is about people getting together with people. I want to believe if faced with our worst crisis, we will become better people for it and this is the only show that does. Plus, it makes us laugh! How can you not fall in love with Will Forte. His character is the most lovable one on television. I want a Tandy Miller all for myself.

If you do not know why I am saying that, then tune in to The Last Man on Earth tonight at 9p on Fox and catch up on the other episodes on Hulu. It is the best sitcom you are not watching and you should be tuning in.
