I don’t know about you, but I always thought they only ate freeze dried food and drank Tang on the International Space Station. Turns out they also eat food like we do here on Earth.

NASA Astronaut Shane Kimbrough gave us a demonstration on how they make a peanut butter and jelly sandwich in Space and it isn’t as easy as it is here. First they have to tape or Velcro the ingredients down so they don’t float away. To make matters even worse for them, they don’t have bread up there, so they have to use Tortillas. Then they do what we do down here, but instead of making sure the cap doesn’t fall on the floor, they have to make sure it doesn’t get sucked up into the air conditioning system. Once it is all done, it is time to enjoy one of the World and Outer Space’s favorite comfort food. With that I am now craving PB&J and I have none of the things I need to make one.

BTW who else was else was fixated on the Sriracha sauce bottle and wonder what they use it for up there?
