[ # ] Tom Selleck talks about the Three Men and a Baby ghost!
February 7th, 2017 under Jimmy Fallon, Ted Danson Mary Steenburgen, Tom Selleck

It has been 30 years since Three Men and a Baby came out and for the most part it is a forgotten classic. Sorry, but it is true. Now what the sweet film is remembered for is an urban legend. After the movie came out, people noticed there was a boy standing behind Ted Danson in the window. But there was no one else in the scene beside Danson, Celeste Holm and the baby, so who was it? For decades people have assumed it was a ghost and the myth has been kept alive about the dead kid.
What is the truth? Yesterday on The Tonight Show, Jimmy Fallon wanted to find out what the dealio was from one of the movie’s three men Tom Selleck. The Blue Bloods’ handsome star explained that he heard a rumor that a boy died in the house where they filmed the movie. Only problem is, they filmed on a soundstage. What did Magnum PI come up with as what he think he really happened? He believes there was a lifesize poster that fell by the window and no one noticed. Turns out he was right. The NBC late night show called Disney and they sent a photo of Danson standing with a lifesize poster of himself that looks just like the boy in the background. When faced with the truth, Selleck retorted back to it being a ghost! Which is exactly how I feel.
Talking about hidden truths about the movie, Selleck revealed another one during his interview. In the movie poster, he is seen with wet stains on his clothes near where he is holding the baby. Turns out it is really the infant’s pee on him. He told Fallon, Annie Leibovitz, who was the photographer, notice the wet stains on him and told him not to change. Making his expression the most realistic he has ever been in anything he has ever done.
There is one more rumor about the franchise he also confirmed and denied. For years, there have been rumors they are working on a third movie, Three Men and a Bride. Yes, Selleck has heard about it, but no, no one has ever called him to tell him it is a go. With the movie about the celebrate its 30th anniversary, it is time to do it. Let’s hope they do it because it just what Hollywood needs these days!
