The Oscar nominations were announced today and like usual they suck. There were a lot of snubs, but the biggest one was for The Lego Movie not getting one for Best Animated Movie.
Philip Lord, the Writer/Director of the movie, took the snub well. He posted the above photo and said, “It’s okay. Made my own!” Then Tweeted, “This is not a tragedy. Congrats to incredible crew and cast of The Lego Movie, who made a classic.”
They certainly did. It truly is a shame this gem of a movie was not recognized by the Academy. On a positive note, at least Everything is Awesome was nominated. That song really is awesome.
