Glee is back on Fox tonight at 8p with the first two of its final 13 episodes and the show feels like a deflated balloon.
The show starts out with Rachel (Lea Michele) being part of the worst rated show ever to have aired on television. After getting a 0 share, she is chased out of Hollywood. She takes a few months off from everything and goes into hiding. When she finally comes out of it, she goes home and finds out her fathers are getting divorce and selling her childhood home. Blaine (Darren Criss) is also back in Lima, Ohio because Curt (Chris Colfer) and him broke up and he failed out of school. To make matters worse for him; just as he gets over his ex, Curt shows up to do his work study in Lima.
Sue (Jane Lynch) is still running McKinley High and it is a shell of what it used to be when they went there. Schue (Matthew Morrison) is at a different school, running their Glee club. Blaine is back at Dalton mentoring the Warblers. So Rachel decides to bring Glee back to McKinely, and she is successful in doing so.
Once she gets settled, she gets the old gang together to recruit a new Glee club and no one wants to be part of it. Can you blame them? We don’t even want to watch Glee anymore.
Not only are the original members back, we also get some new Glee clubbers. Just what don’t need.
Last year, Glee was hard to watch because it was so bad. This season feels like they have given up. Everything about this season feels like that they were done with it before it even began.
While I expect Glee to do better in the ratings than Rachel’s show did, I don’t expect it to much better than it.
