April 13th, 2014 under Guinness World Records

Today was the London Marathon and while most people were doing it to complete the race, others were doing it to get in to Guinness Book of World Records.
While Wilson Kipsang from Kenya got into the book by running it in the record time of 2:04:29, these other 9 got in there for a much different reason.

1 – Fastest marathon dressed as a toilet – Marcus Mumford – 02:57:28
2 – Fastest marathon in an animal costume – Alex Collins – 02:48:29
3 – Fastest marathon dressed as an astronaut – Simon Couchman – 03:08:45
4 – Fastest marathon in a wedding dress – Sarah Dudgeon – 03:16:44
5 – Fastest marathon dressed as a baby – Ali King – 02:51:18
6 – Fastest marathon in a wedding dress (male) – Lee Goodwin – 03:00:54
7 – Fastest marathon dressed as a logo – Kevin Hunt – 03:37:14
8 – Fastest marathon wearing chainmail (upper body) – Michael Charles Dodd – 05:49:07
9 – Fastest marathon dressed as a jockey – Ross Birkett – 03:08:30

And these are just a few of the many who made the book today for being the fastest to finish the marathon in a certain type of get up. To see the rest, you can check out the complete list here.
How far would you go to get your name in the Guinness Book of World Records? I am thinking of taking up running just so I can beat that guy who dressed up as a baby.
