[ # ] CBS is no longer partners with Partners
November 16th, 2012 under CBS

CBS has made the mistake of pulling the plug on Partners and I for one am very upset about this. Personally I think if CBS were to cancel any of their comedies it should’ve been Mike & Molly. It is Chuck Lorre’s weakest show on the network now, plus I honestly think it would bomb without a strong lead in. Something it has benefited from since its debut. When it comes to Partners, it never had a chance with the time-to-be-put-out-of-our-misery How I Met Your Mother as its lead. When was the last time that show really made you laugh more than it pissed you off? For me it has been a few years. CBS needs a new comedy to survive because with HIMYM most likely ending this year and who knows what the future holds for Two and a Half Men, what will they do? Recently the network has only been able to launch a successful comedy every two years, so they should’ve kept the show and let it find its audience. I think that it was doing and it really found its niche. Oh well, I guess that leaves room for another NCIS or CSI to air on the network. It’s not like they don’t have enough of those.

Here is what the great cast of Partners Tweeted about the cancellation:
Sophia Bush: Sadly, it is so. What a fun run it has been. I love @michaelurie @DaveKrumholtz @BrandonJRouth so much. Our producers. Our crew. Thank u all
Dave Krumholtz: Thanks for all the support.
Brandon Routh: Well, that’s it folks. Our run of #Partners is over. Thanks so much for your love, support, & dedication 2 our show. Much love from us 2 u.

BTW as a big FU to CBS, I say let’s vote for Partners as Favorite New TV Comedy for The People’s Choice Awards!
