To see my reaction to the crappy nominations then
I think this is the worst year of Emmy nominations to date. I much more unhappy with the nominations than I am happy. When it comes to Drama, I am happy for Friday Night Lights and Kyle Chandler, Kathy Bates for Harry’s Law, Andre braugher for Men of a Certain Age and that’s it. I just don’t watch the other shows. Well I watch House and don’t think that Hugh Laurie did anything Emmy worthy this season.
I was happier with the Comedy noms because Ed O’Neill is nominated with the rest of the cast this season and hopefully he will win. Glee got its mercy noms (cause it wasn’t as good this season) for show, the departing Chris Colfer and this season’s Emmy Host Jane Lynch. Laura Linney rightfully got the nom, but the show that so deserved it didn’t. If she doesn’t win then the voters made a huge ass mistake because she is fucking brilliant in the role. it is shame Oliver Platt wasn’t nominated either. The Big Bang Theory was rightfully nominated for Best Show and Jim Parsons is not alone with his acting nom this year because Johnny Galecki is also nominated. Chuck Lorre’s other show also got noms, Melissa McCarthy (who announced the noms) for Mike and Molly and Jon Cryer for Two and a Half Men. I wonder if Cryer got his nom for his work in front of the camera or behind it? Of course it goes without saying I love that Betty White got a nom for Hot In Cleveland. And at last, but not a least a nice surprise in comedies was Matt LeBlanc for Episodes!
When it comes to reality now that I have given up So You Think You Can Dance, it gets a nom. Hopefully Top Chef will get the much deserved win. I love that show and I am over American Idol.
And on TV movies go Kennedys it wasn’t as bad as I thought.
What do you think of the noms?
