If you are like me missing a David E Kelley show on TV like Picket Fences and Boston Legal, then Harry’s Law on NBC tonight at 10p is the show for you. Kathy Bates plays a tough lawyer who gets fired from her job and decides to go out on her own. In between doing that, she gets hit on the head by a guy who jumped off a building to kill himself…thus saving him and eventually she will be defending him. But that isn’t the worst part of her day as she is crossing the street to what she thinks will be the perfect office space for her she gets hit by a car driven by a lawyer (Studio 60′s Nate Corddry) she once argued against in court. He is wanting a change, so he decides he wants to work for her. The final person in this mix is Brittany Snow who plays her assistant and seizes the opportunity to sell shoes in the former shoe store that Harry takes over. Sounds quirky enough in a David E Kelley way, well it is just that?
Did I mention that Harry’s new office is in a section that is necessarily the best, so they will find themselves defending people that most lawyers would not want to take on unless it is a state mandated. Because of that there are a lot of touching moments in the show and that is why I love love love this show. That and it really has the feel of the David E Kelley shows I have been missing. So if you are like me then add Harry’s Law to your TV viewing tonight and every Monday on NBC at 10p!!!
we LOVE Harry’s Law. It’s witty and every person in it is so interesting. I wish it was on a night that there wasn’t two other good shows at the same time. I’m glad it’s also on Saturday and on On Demand. Isn’t there a slower night for it? I hope this show lasts for a long time.
I love this show. I know that it is up against 2 shows that I also like and I am so thankful that the network runs it again on Saturday. I now can watch 3 of my favorite shows. This network is a little smarter than the others. They did this with parenthood and it gave me a chance to get hooked on parenthood. Hopefully they will keep showing it again on Saturday night
I LOVE THIS SHOW!!! I have to admit- there was still a hole in my heart I was suffering since Boston Legal ended and Harry’s Law is helping fill it in! This show is great- casting is PERFECT. Kathy Bates and Christopher McDonald are awesome. It’s like Shooter McGavin turned out to be a lawyer. This show makes me laugh out loud which is always the best indicator to me that a show ROCKS! And this week’s episode when Tommy told Harriet “What you’re experiencing right now is very similar to what happened with the Chilean miners. Your brain starts to reek havoc with you..” and she looks at him and said “I’ve been in here an hour” was definitely a LOL moment
