[ # ] CBS Cares about women getting Pap Smears this holiday season
December 6th, 2009 under CBS

So I was watching either Ghost Whisperer or Medium and they had a commercial that left me going is that for real? CBS Cares is doing their holiday messages and this year they have two actors suggesting that you give the special woman in your life a pap smear this holiday season. Seriously, this is no joke.
Chris Beetem says, “Wanna do something special for your woman this Christmas? Schedule a pap smear. Pap smears saves lives. Give her the gift even Santa can’t deliver.” Well he hasn’t been to some of the holiday parties I have been to because I have seen Santas doing what looked like pap smears to some girls. Joking. But seriously if that is what my man got me for a Christmas gift, I would give him the door. As in get the f*ck out of my house you sick, cheap son of a bitch. Seriously what woman would want that?
Oh and BTW CBS Cares didn’t leave the Jews out, they also did one for Hanukkah. Josh Pais says, “Wanna do something special for your woman this Hanukkah? Schedule her a pap smear. Just a schmear can save her life. Give her the gift that will light up her Menorah.” If I had a boyfriend and he went down there just right, he could light Menorah…but not in a pap smear sort of way.
FYI to the men (because no f*cking way a woman would ever approve that sh!t) who came up with those PSAs, they suck and not in a way that would light your Menorah.

After my shock and amazement because I thought maybe someone at the network was just about to lose their job for running a joke commercial by accident, my husband and I were dying of laughter too! That was the funniest thing. Kept trying to figure out if it was an SNL skit. I do agree it is good to get the word out but as a Christmas Gift? NO WAY!

I’m still laughing that was one of the weirdest funniest things I have seen on TV in a long time. Kudos to CBS for that one!

OMG! THANK YOU (esp. for the last paragraph). I saw this PSA, and I thought it WAS a joke until I saw that they gave the legitimate CBS Cares website address! I turned to my boyfriend, while I was still laughing, and said, “if you do that for me, we are SO OVER!”

I’m SO posting this page to Facebook!
