Rue McClahanan had bypass surgery on Tuesday but she is doing OK according to
Reuters! She went to her doctor on Monday who noticed she had an irregular heartbeat and her check into the hospital for bypass surgery. According to
The Advocate she was suppose to attend an event next week in San Fransisco, but instead sent a letter to cancel. She wrote, “My darlings, I’m just devastated that I am going to have to miss my own tribute at the Castro Theatre,” she said in a statement on Wednesday from her hospital room. “Unfortunately, my doctor has laid down the law, and I’m currently having some maintenance on the old ticker. Trust me, I’d much rather be in San Francisco having fun and being adored by all of you.”
Hopefully The Golden Girl will be better soon because with only two of them left we can’t lose another one of them anytime soon.
BTW am I the only thought of the episode where Blanche Deveraux got a pacemaker when they read the news?
