October 30th, 2009 under Travel Channel

Get your Halloween spook on early tonight and watch as Ghost Adventures does a 7-hour live investigation on the Travel Channel starting at 8p! The team is going to investigate the Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum in Weston, WV.

Built during the Civil War, the asylum is the second-largest hand-cut stone building in the world. For decades its thick walls housed the insane, the neglected and the unwanted. Violence was a common occurrence and inmates were often subjected to brutal treatment. Shut down permanently in 1994, this massive edifice has remained vacant ever since.
Ghost Adventures will have unprecedented access to the entire asylum — from the seclusion cells, where the most violent patients were shackled, to the medical center, where primitive procedures and autopsies were performed.
To aid in their investigation, Ghost Adventures will interview local witnesses, call on paranormal guest experts and utilize the latest in detection technology. Specialized teams will also be available on-site to research and review evidence as it’s collected.

Normally the Most Haunted team do the live investigations and they are really interesting. Over the few last weeks, I have been watching Ghost Adventures to prepare for tonight’s live event and I can’t wait to see how they handle it tonight on the Travel Channel at 8p!
BTW what makes these live specials is so cool is that they are interactive. So not only do you get to watch them, but you also get to let them know if you see anything happening that they might’ve missed. Not only is it televised, but you can monitor live cameras on the net on rooms they might not be in at that the time. It really is an interesting experience you want to be part of!
