Julianne Hough is dancing her way to the big screen (or straight-to-DVD) in the cheesy remake of Footloose according to the
Hollywood Reporter. Two-time Dancing with the Stars champ is joining Chace Crawford in the roles that were made famous by Lori Singer and Kevin Bacon in the 1984 classic.
Now that Julianne is doing her leading role, she is officially a triple threat by being about to sing, dance and act. Although with Kenny Ortega producing and directing, I don’t have much faith in the movie. His movies give me a cavity and a stomach because they are so sweet and cheesy. Plus I don’t think the movie needs to be redone.
BTW the movie is slated to begin production in March which would mean Julianne won’t be do at least two more seasons of Dancing with the Stars.
