About 14 months NBC announced that they were (making the huge a$$ mistake of) moving Jay Leno from The Tonight Show at 11:30p and giving him his own weeknight show at 10p and today that show will air its last episode in that timeslot. NBC thought they would revolutionize TV, by bringing late night TV to primetime and all they did was destroy their affiliate and most of their shows’ ratings. So last month with their tails between their legs, they announced their failure and cancelled The Jay Leno Show. Tonight will be the last time Jay will be in primetime because after the Olympics the Indian Giver will be going back to the 11:35p timeslot. It will be interesting to see if he will be #1 again like he was before the failed NBC experiment or will Letterman be remain the new late night king. Personally I am hoping Jimmy Kimmel takes that title away from both of those dinosaurs, but sadly I don’t think will happen anytime soon…:( ]]>
Tonight on Fox at 9p, after Ellen DeGeneres makes her American Idol debut, the latest procedural will make its debut. Past Life is not like all the other procedural on the air now because they are trying to solve the murder via the person who was murdered and their soul is now in someone else’s body. Maybe because I am into past life regressions and all, but I love this show. It is so different than anything else on TV and it is totally not predictable. I have seen the first two episodes and I had no idea who the murderers were, how their murders were going to play out and how the team was going to solve the crime. If you are sick of seeing the same thing week in and week out with the CSIs and Law & Orders then Past Life is for you! I promise you and your past lives will love this show as much as mine did!
Seriously I saw the pilot for Past Life over the summer and I absolutely loved the show, and I have been waiting for it to debut since then. I was afraid that the show wouldn’t be as good after the pilot, but I actually liked the second episode better! ]]>

Seeing him in these get ups makes me wonder if he is trying to remain a virgin for a long long long time like after Nick Jonas’ kids are having their cherries popped? Just like the movie Perfect killed John Travolta’s love life after this workout scene from the movie with Jamie Lee Curtis, that is what those styles will do Joe’s. Try not to look at Travolta’s crotch, I know my eyes couldn’t stop staring at it.

Before Robert Knepper knew people ran a carnival with people who had abilities on Heroes, he only knew one woman who had an ability on Star Trek: The Next Generation. Even back when he was 27 in that 1987 episode, he had great hair! ]]>
On Friday I went over to The Rock (which is really a sound stage) and I interviewed the cast of Make It or Break It that airs on ABC Family on Mondays at 9p. The first actor from the show I am going to feature is Johnny Pacar who plays the absolutely endearing and perfect boyfriend Damon Young. Damon has been dating Emily shortly after his friend/bandmate Razor left town and he said he would look out for her. Well Razor returned and Damon left for LA to advance his music career, but when things didn’t pan out he returned home only to get arrested and lose Emily. Tonight his band plays the prom and he tries to win Emily back and he told me that Damon is not going to let her get away without a fight.
Now when it comes to Razor, he is played by Nico Tortorella, who left the MIoBI to star on The Beautiful Life. So I had to ask Johnny was he nervous when the The CW show got cancelled and Nico would be returning? He told me that Nico and him are friends and he liked what the show had written for them. And so far what we have seen in the first few episodes of the season, it has been really good.
One of the things that makes Damon so likable and why you want him to wind up with Emily is the way that he romances. So I had to find out how much Johnny is like Damon in that way and you have to watch the interview above to find out. And let me tell you are going to want to hear him say it in his own voice.
Unlike the girls on the show, Johnny is a musician and not a gymnast. So I asked him if he knew that he was going to play music on the show when he tried out for the role and he told me, “I knew he was the guitar player in the band. I went into the audition, I think most of the guys that auditioned I saw there, had their guitars with them ready to go. We didn’t really have time to perform any songs or anything for the audition because they were seeing so many people, pressed for time. I was prepared. It was a requirement that you know what you are doing on guitar.” And as we can see from the show, he knows how to play his guitar.
So what does Johnny prefer acting or music and he told me, “I would definitely say I like them both equally. You know 50/50. It’s great because they’re both such fulfilling outlets…It’s great to be able to be on a show that allows me act, but also play music. Cause we actually take the time to learn the songs. We play with the real guys and they teach us all the chord structures and things like that. It’s fun to be able to work music in like that. I am always writing music, recording music. I like doing both equally.” And he does both equally well.

Tonight is the season finale of Heroes on NBC at 9p and I spoke to the guy who made this season of Heroes the best one since the first. Robert Knepper plays Samuel Sullivan and he told me how the way he portrays the character came about.
For those of you who don’t watch the show, you are really missing out, but here is a little info about Samuel Sullivan who has come onto the show to wreak havoc in the Heroes lives. Samuel is the head of the carnival full of specials with his brother Joseph, who has recently died because Samuel killed him. Unlike the Heroes who we have known from past seasons that are slowly finding each other, Samuel and his brother have formed a family of people with abilities and have protected each other within their carnival. Slowly throughout the season we have seen as different Heroes have joined the carnival, some stayed and some left. Tonight it all comes to a forefront between good and bad and hopefully we will have enough of a cliffhanger that NBC will bring back for another season.
Now back to Robert Kneeper, he is fresh off of his success from Prison Break and he knows that role helped him to land this role and he is not taking his time on the Fox show for granted.
If you watch the show like I do, you would think that Robert is Irish like his character but I was shocked to hear him talk in his native Ohio accent when I interviewed him. So I had to ask him where that accent came from and he told me when he was auditioning for the role they told him that it was between him and another guy and that guy was Irish so that he is how the accent came about. He also told me when he went in for the audition, he saw a guy when he got there and he was convinced that was the other guy he was up against for the role and he wound up being wrong. He told me exclusively the other guy was Andrew Connolly, who plays his brother Joseph. After he got the role and the two worked together for the first time, Andrew said to him, “I just want you to know, I’m glad you got the part. You were great and your Irish is great.” Now that is class act.
Now how did Robert envision his character Samuel and here is what he told me, “I had a sense about the character that he was old world. That you and I have a job that we do every day and we love it and we go home. This guy not only has a job, but he also has an extraordinary power being able to move earth. And that’s I all knew from the beginning, that’s all I knew, I didn’t want to know anymore. I knew he could move earth. So he goes like this and he could cover the dirt over his brother’s grave. So there was something mortal but something immortal about him as well. Or I thought immortal. And because of that, I thought he is from another era, another world…We decided that he was not going to be a typical carnival worker. There was something different about him like a charismatic rock star, like a Keith Richards type of thing. It had to be someone iconic like that. It couldn’t be like the front man like Mick. It would be like the guy right behind Mick. That was the feeling, the rock star, the makeup, the nails and all of that stuff. It was really about that rock star image. And that kind of flavor kind of descended into it.” Once he told me that he was going for a Keith Richards, it totally made sense to me! He really captured that feel.
Now I have to admit to you and I admitted to him, that I hated when he character hid Charlie in time so that Hiro couldn’t find her and I had to tell him I didn’t like that his character did that. I then asked him had anyone else complained about that to him and he told me I was the first. But one thing I was not the first person to tell him is that he has really made this season of Heroes ever so much better! He also told me that tonight’s episode is going to be really good and I can’t wait to see just how good it is going to be on NBC at 9p! ]]>

Now if you are like me and you read that headline, you thought that the disturbing part of their sex scenes is the difference in the ages between Robert Pattinson and Uma Thurman, than like me you would be wrong. The Twilight star told OK!, ““The sex scenes with Uma are kind of disturbing. Her character Madeleine kind of uses sex as a sort of weapon and my character thinks like an animal. There are a lot of sex scenes in this film, so I’m asking quite a lot of myself, and with lots of different people as well.” I wonder how many people are going to run out to see Bel Ami when it comes out just to watch Robert Pattinson have animalistic sex? PS The best news from this weekend’s box office is Mr. A$$hole aka Mel Gibson’s movie Edge of Darkness bombed big time. The movie played in 3.066 theaters and brought in just $7,005,000 which is $2,285 per theater according to Box Office Mojo. After the Super Bowl, CBS is debuting their latest reality show Undercover Boss. The show takes the bosses of large companies and puts them in the smallest jobs at the same company so that the big boss can see how the little man is keeping his company alive. In tonight’s episode the President of Waste Management is sent out to do some of the sh!ttiest jobs as his company like cleaning up porta potties and picking up loose papers. It was amazing to see the president of the company gets his hands dirty, really dirty and realizing how is little man is getting screwed. He actually learned how things needed to be changed and after he was done learning his lesson he actually makes changes. It wasn’t only doing the dirty work that made him change his mind, but his employees’ attitudes. Those relationships that he built on the job are something you have to see. So after the Super Bowl is over make sure to stay on CBS for a touchdown of a show! Plus who doesn’t want to see a boss clean up sh!t? ]]>
You have to appreciate a talk show host who is willing to make fun of himself when he does something stupid and that is exactly what Jimmy Kimmel did on his show. Jimmy was filmed by TMZ as he was going out to dinner, the only problem was he couldn’t find the door to get in. Someone actually had to open the door for him so he could join his friends for some grub. Now most talk show host would not have aired the video of them looking like the dumb a$$ of the day, but not Jimmy he not only aired it but he also compared himself to former-President Bush.

Tonight on HBO at 8p Clare Danes stars at Temple Gradin and within 5 minutes of watching the movie, you know she will win the Emmy for the role. The movie is based on a real life story of Temple Gradin, an autistic woman who revolutionized the cattle industry. When Temple visits an aunt one summer, she realizes the thing that calms cows also calms her down. From that point on, she understands cows better than everyone else and because of that shw comes up with a way to make raising them at cattle farms ever more humane. Temple Gradin is an amazing story and movie and you will want to watch it tonight on HBO at 8p! ]]>

Taylor Lautner is going from Werewolf to superhero. The Twilight star has signed on to play Stretch Armstrong according to Heat Vision. Personally I think he is the wrong actor for the role because he is too young and just doesn’t seem like Stretch Armstrong to me. But that could just be me, I am sure there are a lot of teenage girls who will disagree with me. ]]>
The nicest guy in Hollywood Henry Winkler is joining USA’s Royal Pains as Hank and Evan’s dad and I can’t think of a better actor to play him! According to USA, “Eddie arrives unannounced in the Hamptons, determined to reinsert himself into his sons’ lives and make up for lost time. But his motives are unclear at best. He will have a considerable impact on HankMed, as Hank and Evan grow divided over whether family reunions are always something to celebrate.” To me having Henry Winkler back on TV is always reason to celebrate! I can’t wait to see him on Royal Pains when the show comes back for a second season later this year. ]]>

Jay Leno isn’t the only guy vacating NBC’s 10p timeslot because Chris Meloni told Australia’s Courier Mail that this will be his last season according to Watch with Kristin. He said, “I think 12 years is enough, a good number…The writers will have fertile ground to figure out how to arc [Elliot Stabler] out to another place—whether it’s this world or the next.” His partner Mariska Hargitay said she is planning on staying with the hit NBC show.
So do you think SVU will be the same without Stabler? I don’t having Benson with Stabler won’t be the same for me. No word if Ice-T is thinking of icing the show?
