Sir Mix-A-Lot is the face of Cards Against Humanity’s A$$ pack
November 6th, 2019 under Cards Against Humanity, Cool Technology. [ Comments: none ]

Back in 1992, Sir Mix-A-Lot became a household name because of his song Baby Got Back. Now, 27 years later, Cards Against Humanity found a way to use him to promote their latest pack. It is dedicated to all of those backs aka a$$es. Because you can’t be the butt of all jokes without a pack dedicated to just butts. Especially if you are this party game that helps you get to know your friends and family better than you ever knew them before. Maybe too much.

The A$$ pack with 30 cards goes for $5. Which is not bad if you consider that you get each card for less than $.17. Although can you really put a price on all the joy you will get from them?

BTW Sir Mix-A-Lot helped write some of the playing cards because we know baby got their backs. That was a lame joke.

Say goodbye to AOL Instant Messenger
October 6th, 2017 under Cool Technology. [ Comments: none ]

AOL might be a thing of past, but AOL Instant Messenger survived all the mergers and changes throughout the last 20 years. But come December 15th, it will make like those AOL CDs we used to get in the mail and go away. The sad news was announced today, upsetting those of us, like me, who still use it.

I do not know about you, but I very sad to see AIM retire. It helped me keep in touch with my NYC and DC friends during 9/11. Heck, it also let me talk to friends all over the country for years. I am so heartbroken over this news, that each time I send an instant message, I am going to shed a tear. 🙁

The Tamagotchi is back!
April 11th, 2017 under Cool Technology. [ Comments: none ]

Remember when you were younger and you had a Tamagotchi? You loved feeding that stupid pet on a keychain, but then it died. Then the battery died. And then it was no more.

Now over 20 years later, you sometimes wish you could get your fingers on one? Well, the good news is that Bandai brought them back. The bad news is they are only available in Japan at the current time. That is unless you want to buy it from Amazon Japan’s site for ¥2,000 yen or $18.22 without the shipping expenses.

Still, it is closer to being a reality again and who doesn’t want their virtual pet back. I still miss mine. Ralff was a good friend, until I brought him to an outdoor concert and it rained. Ralff didn’t like baths, and that was the end of him. How did yours go to the Rainbow Bridge?

Now you can make out with Siri and Alexa!
January 16th, 2017 under Cool Technology. [ Comments: none ]

Many people have gotten very close to their cellphones, some might even say too close. Soon they can get even closer because the Kissinger app simulates a kiss from your loved one.
For those of you whose lovers are long distance or travel a lot, then you will enjoy this device that will make it feel as though their lips are next to yours. Plus, in time it will even smell like your soulmate according to WTOP. What more could you ask for? Besides, well, that person being next to you.
Actually, this is great for teens who want to learn how to kiss. They no longer need their pillows, hands and stuffed animals to practice on. What a great world they live in.

Watch Robots react to the Morgan trailer
August 25th, 2016 under Cool Technology. [ Comments: none ]

Robots are getting so advanced these days that they can now show emotion. 20th Century Fox brought two of the world’s most advanced robots for a focus group to see how they would react to the Morgan trailer. The one from magicLab’s EDI (Electronic Deceptive Intelligence) was so realistic, I felt like he was me watching it. Meanwhile, the University of Pisa’s FACE (Facial Automation for Conveying Emotions) was so creepy, I was more scared of her than I was the trailer for the film that comes out on September 2nd.
Either way, it was really intriguing to watch. I want to see more Robots watching trailers like The Jetsons, War Games, Electric Dreams and Her. Maybe Fine Bros can record them watching a whole bunch of different things to get their reaction. How tubular would that be?
