Emma Stone said in an interview she applies to be on the original Jeopardy every year, but so far, they haven’t called.
So yesterday, when she was on The Late Show, Stephen Colbert decided to see if she is worthy to be on the game show.
How did she do? She was worthy. But then again, I got all the answers correct that she did. So, maybe I should be on Jeopardy too?
As to why she wants to be on the OG show and not Celebrity Jeopardy, it is because she says she barely graduated high school and didn’t go to college, so this would be her degree.
Emma Stone said that she wants to be on Jeopardy (the mothership, not the celebrity one), and she applies every year to be on the show. However, they never call her.
Yesterday, when Ken Jennings was on Good Morning America, he had a message for this year’s Oscar nominee.
“I understand you are a fan of the show. I understand, like me, you try our for Jeopardy regularly,” the host said. “I just want to encourage you. I want you to keep studying. I want you to be the one who breaks my record on Jeopardy, 75 straight games. Good luck!”
Could you imagine if that happened? They would break the television.
Emma Stone is a celebrity, but that doesn’t mean she wants to be on Celebrity Jeopardy.
She told Variety that she wants to be on OG Jeopardy. “I apply every June,” the actress said. “I don’t want to go on ‘Celebrity Jeopardy.’ I want to earn my stripes. You can only take the test once a year with your email address, and I’ve never gotten on the show. I watch it every single night and I mark down how many answers I get right. I swear, I could go on ‘Jeopardy.’”
Maybe it is because I hated The Curse so much. But she needs to get over herself. Smarter actors have done Celebrity Jeopardy, and it was good enough for them.
Emma is not Emma Stone’s real first name. It is a stage name she came up with when she was 16 because the Screen Actors Guild told her she could not go by Emily Stone. There was already someone else in the union with the name.
Today, when she was on Live with Kelly and Ryan, she told them that Emma was not her first choice. What was then? She tried out the name Reily. She liked the name; she just wasn’t used to it. So while she was guest-starring on Malcolm in the Middle, she ignored people when they called her that.
Therefore, after a two-month trial period, she went with Emma because it was close enough to Emily. And the rest is Hollywood history.
Personally, I think she should have gone with Rosetta. What name do you think would work for her?
