Idris Elba and Tom Hanks have something in common now. They have both tested positive for Coronavirus. People’s (the magazine and our) Sexiest Man Alive announced the diagnosis today in a video message to his fans.
Hey what’s up guys, So look, this morning I got some test results back for Coronavirus, and it came back positive. Yeah, and it sucks. Listen, I’m doing okay. Sabrina hasn’t been tested, and she’s doing okay.
I wasn’t, I didn’t have any symptoms. I got tested because I realized I was exposed to someone who had also tested positive. I found out last Friday, They were tested positive I quarantined myself and got a test immediately, got the results back.
Look, this is serious, you know. Now’s the time to really think about social distancing, washing your hands. People who aren’t showing symptoms and that can easily spread. Okay. So now’s a real-time to be really vigilant about washing your hands and keeping your distance. Okay.
We’ve told our families. They’re very supportive. With told our colleagues. And, you know, transparency is probably the best thing for this right now. If you’re feeling ill or you feel like you should be tested or you’ve been exposed, then do something about it. All right, it’s really important.
Look, we live in a divided world right now we can all feel it. It’s been bullshit. But, now’s the time for solidarity now’s the time for thinking about each other. There’s so many people whose lives have been affected from those who have lost people that they love to people that don’t even have it, and lost their livelihoods. This is real. All right. I just wanted to share my news with you guys. I will keep you updated as how I’m doing so far we’re feeling okay. All right man, stay positive, don’t freak out.
Coronavirus doesn’t care how sexy or nice you are. It doesn’t care who you voted for or what religion you practice. The point is that it does not discriminate. You need to take care of yourself so you can take care of others. If you are young and healthy, chances are you will be OK. But it is not only about you, you need to think of others who are not as young and healthy. You don’t want them to get it because they might not come out of this alive.
If ever there was a pure Dick Flick, it is Hobbs & Shaw. The Fast and the Furious spinoff looks like it will be all fighting, car chases, explosions, one-liners, bad guys, scaling buildings and whatever else men dream of doing. Well, I did not see sex scenes, but there was a pretty blonde in the trailer. Plus, it stars The Rock, Jason Statham and Idris Elba. It is a smorgasbord of testosterone.
So boys, what more do you go see this movie on August 2nd?
The Golden Globes invites some of the biggest stars, so it makes sense that they would invite both Daniel Craig and Idris Elba. Just like Jennifer Aniston and Angelina Jolie or Taylor Swift and Kanye West, you will want to keep them apart.
Why? Well, Daniel Craig is the current James Bond, and Idris Elba is his rumor and anticipated replacement. Only thing is Craig has not hung up the tux yet. Therefore, imagine how awkward it must have been when the two of them met. I mean, Idris has pretty much been gunning for that job and Craig still has it.
Maybe, all was good between them and they shared a Martini, shaken not stirred, together; and Craig gave Elba advice on how to play one of the most iconic roles in Hollywood history. That is when he is done with being 007 of course.
Last year, Blake Shelton was People’s Sexiest Man Alive and now he passes the title off to Idris Elba. When the actor found out he got the honor, he told the magazine, “I was like, ‘Come on, no way. Really?’…Looked in the mirror, I checked myself out. I was like, ‘Yeah, you are kind of sexy today.’ But to be honest, it was just a nice feeling. It was a nice surprise — an ego boost for sure.”
He is sexy every day, which is why he is the cover boy for this issue. Hopefully, now, they will reconsider giving the part of Bond, James Bond.
For months, there have been rumors and campaigns trying to make Idris Elba the next Bond, James Bond. Yesterday, while he was walking the carpet for his directorial for the movie Yardie, Good Morning Britain asked him about it.
First, they handed him a martini and asked him if he likes it shaken or stirred. He told them, “stirred fry.” Then she asked him, “Am I looking at the next 007?” As he is walking away, he told her, “no,” and laughed.
This is the second bit of bad news for the franchise in 24 hours. Yesterday, Danny Boyle dropped out of directing Bond 25 and now this. Maybe it is time for them to hit the pause button and reevaluate how they move forward with other Bond movies. What do you think?
