Yee haw, CMT saves Nashville!
June 10th, 2016 under CMT. [ Comments: none ]

A few weeks ago, ABC announced that they were not bringing back Nashville back for a 5th season and the die hard fans of the show were very upset. They took the internet and begged anyone and everyone to save the show! Well their pleas were finally answered because CMT and Hulu announced they saved the Country Music Nighttime Soap.
Brian Philips, President of CMT said, “CMT heard the fans. The wave of love and appreciation they have unleashed for ‘Nashville’ has been overwhelming,” adding, “We see our fans and ourselves in this show and we will treasure it like no other network. Nashville belongs on CMT.”
I honestly think that the show is going to be so much better on CMT. They know Country Music and they definitely know Nashville better than ABC ever could. They will make this show as great as it was during its first two seasons. I, for one, am beyond excited to see this show carry on, on a network that will truly appreciate it.
No word when and, more importantly, who will be back. The season ended with Juliette’s (Hayden Panettiere) plane in trouble, so this could be the out they need to get rid of her expensive paycheck. But then again, she is the best part about that show, so you don’t want to lose her like you do a few of the other blonde haired females.
Heck, who cares about all of that today, let’s just be happy that the show is coming back!

Erik Estrada beats up Billy Ray Cyrus!
April 26th, 2016 under Armed & Famous, Billy Ray Cyrus, CMT, VH1/MTV. [ Comments: none ]

Have you been wanting to see someone beat up Billy Ray Cyrus since you heard Achy Breaky Heart for the 1 millionth time? Well, you will finally see someone give him the take down of a lifetime and that person is CHiPs Erik Estrada. Plus, it is better than you could’ve ever dreamed of.
When you will see the thing of beauty? Sometime after Miley Cyrus’ dad’s show Still the King debuts on CMT June 12th.
In all seriousness, Still the King looks so wacky, fun and outrageous that I can’t wait to see it. It looks like such a hootenanny, you might forget how much you hate his one hit wonder.
Actually, I feel bad about being mean to Billy Ray because I really like him and that song, and I am sincerely looking forward to this zany show!

Tonight’s CMT lineup is so good, it should be arrested by Big Texas Heat!
November 10th, 2012 under CMT, VH1/MTV. [ Comments: none ]

CMT is debuting two new reality shows tonight and each is better than the other!
At 10p we get to know the Chainsaw Gang and you will be surprised how a chainsaw carving into a tree can make some of the most beautiful art you will ever see. Stacy Poitras is the owner and he will impress you how amazing he is. But he isn’t only about working, he is also about having fun. Rio is second in charge and he knows how to party. Then there is poor Steele who is the rookie and the gang have a lot of fun torturing him in the name of training. Finally there is former model Matt who proves that blonde men can be dumb too. You have to watch him hit on women unsuccessfully because it will make you laugh out loud.
During tonight’s season premiere Stacy will carve out Michelangelo in the biggest tree truck you have ever seen and it will be his toughest goal yet. And he will be doing in front of people outside a mall in Thousand Oaks, Ca. No pressure, right? Wrong!
Then at 10:30p we go to Trinity, Tx for Big Texas Heat. As we know everything is bigger in Texas and that is the case for these cops’ waistlines. Chief Steven Jones runs the department and he is having more fun than what should be legally allowed. Even though he is tough during day, he loses that toughness when it comes to his wife. Then there is Donald Givens who goes by Big Sexy, once you see him you know why he has that nickname. Sergeant Randy Wheeler is a tough guy on the streets but he is the practical joker in the bunch. Poor rookie Felix Morales feels the brunt of his co-workers abuse and all he wants to do is be a full blown cop. He is given a chance to do what every one does, but will he be able to handle it.
I wish more police stations were like the ones featured on Big Texas Heat because if they were we might like them more!
So tune in for two great shows that make you want to stay home on a Saturday night.

You know you are a redneck…
October 31st, 2012 under CMT, VH1/MTV. [ Comments: 1 ]

…when you are not good enough to make it on to Redneck Island! Next Saturday CMT is debuting Redneck Island‘s second season at 9p and they have posted a video of the people that weren’t good or is it bad enough to be on the reality show. To see the rednecks that were worthy enough to be on the show, you will have to tune in to find out. But personally I think that CMT should just have a show of the people who sent in their tapes for the audition. How much fun would that be?
And what is even more fun is the show that debuts after Redneck Island at 10p. All I will say is you are going to want to add Chainsaw Gang to your viewing schedule because it is a cut above the rest!

From Gone Country to Outsider’s Inn

Maureen "Marsha Brady" McCormick, Bobby Brown and Carnie Wilson are going from CMT's Gone Country to doing a Tori & Dean like show on the network called Outsider's Inn
Maureen will be managing a Southern Bed and Breakfast in Newport, Tenn. Bobby Brown is the entertainment director and Carnie Wilson is the master chef.
Bobby Brown as the entertainment director, that is so wrong. You know that is going to lead to a lot of tension, I mean why him? What type of recreation will he come up with? And it is too easy to make a comment about Carnie Wilson as the master chef, so I will leave that up to you!
Let's see how it all turns out when the show premieres on CMT August 15th. Hopefully they won't walk in on naked sleeping Bobby Brown again…
