Rachel Bloom goes from Crazy Ex Girlfriend to mom to be!
September 15th, 2019 under Crazy Ex-Girlfriend. [ Comments: none ]

Yesterday was the Creative Emmys and Rachel Bloom won one for Outstanding Original Music And Lyrics. After she accepted her Emmy someone asked the actress/songwriter what is next for her now that Crazy Ex Girlfriend is, sadly, over.

That is when she decided to tell everyone, “I’m pregnant, so that is what is next for me.” She is three months along and she can’t wait to tell her child “that she was with me when this happened which is really f*cking cool.”

This the first child for Bloom and How I Met Your Mother writer Dan Gregor. The expecting parents have been married since 2015 and started dating in 2009.

Hopefully, this will inspire her to do a show about motherhood for her next project. Actually, I don’t care what it is about, I just want her unique style back on my television as soon as possible.

Crazy Ex Girlfriend says goodbye tonight
April 5th, 2019 under Crazy Ex-Girlfriend. [ Comments: none ]

Today is a sad day for musical television, and TV in general, because Crazy Ex Girlfriend is ending its run on The CW at 8p.

Last week, Rebecca (Rachel Bloom) went on three dates to decide which man she would spend the rest of her life with. Her first date was with Josh Chan (Vincent Rodriguez III), the man she moved to West Covina for and almost married. The next one was with her former boss, the very wealthy Nathaniel (Scott Michael Foster). Finally, she went out with Greg (Skylar Astin), the man who she seems meant to be with. All three dates were perfect in their own special way, making her decision even more impossible.

Tonight, she is ready to reveal who won her heart on Valentine’s Day. Which one will it be? I am rooting for Nathaniel, but the other two also have a good shot. Thankfully, I am not the one who has to decide. Rebecca does and she picks…

After she makes her pick, the show flashes forward a year and we get to see what will happen to favorite singing cast. Who will get their happy endings?

I am getting a sad one because I am going to miss a show that gave songs like Heavy Boobs and I Gave You a UTI. There is nothing else like it and I doubt there ever will be again.

Therefore, I am hitting one last high note for them.

Happy New Year FOTB! Who quits Hell’s Kitchen? Crazy Ex Girlfriend brings heart
February 1st, 2019 under ABC, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, Gordon Ramsay. [ Comments: none ]

It is time for the Lunar New Year on Fresh Off the Boat tonight at 8p in ABC and this year the Huangs are not celebrabaing alone. Julius (Reggie Lee), Elaine (Ming-Na Wen) and their son Horace (Jimmy O. Yang) will be joining the this year.

As soon as Julius and Horace get there, they get into a verbal fight that turns physical. They do this annually so that this way they can start the year off clean. When Louis (Randall Park) gets into a fight with one of his sons (Hudson Yang, Forrest Wheeler and Ian Chen), he decides to the same. Will it have the same effect on their father/son relationship?

They are not the only ones who are fighting, so are Jessica (Constance Wu) and her mother-in-law (Lucille Soong). Elaine thinks she can mend things between the two women, but she makes things worse. How much worse?

You don’t want to miss another great episode that also teaches about the Chinese New Year.

Then at 9p on Fox, things are really heating up in Hell’s Kitchen for the final four. The night starts off innocent enough with a challenge that has the final four cooks preparing a dish tableside for chefs to judge. It is a relaxing, yet awkward day prize for the winner of the challenge. Even the dinner service goes smootly as they each take a turn at running the line.

Then when it comes time to put two people up for elimination, one of the chefs put themselves up. Is it Bret? Mia? Motto? Or Ariel? Why are they doing it? How will Gordon Ramsay react? What does it mean for the finale?

You just have to tune in for a truly shocking episode because I ain’t going to tell you.

Also at 9p but over on The CW, it is time for the Crazy Ex Girlfriend to get wet. Rebecca (Rachel Bloom) convinces Greg (Skylar Astin) to go to a water park with her. Only thing is that he hates it. He hates everything but her. It is because he loves her that he suffered through it. When she realize that, they get into a big fight.

Rebecca has not been keeping up with her therapy and her doctors are worried about her. They have every reason to be worried. After her fight with Greg, she does the unthinkable and she knows she needs help. Will she do what they want her to do?

She is not the only one. Paula (Donna Lynne Champlin) has a lot on her plate: work, studying for the bar exam, her kids and everything else, and it is all catching up to her. She does not have time to stop even though her body is telling her to relax. What will she do?

Did I mention there is a really great solo for Greg tonight? His best one since I Gave You A UTI. For some reason, I feel like that was someone else? Because it was! But the point is, you will be singing this one for a while.

Just like the other songs. On that note, on April 5th after the series finale, The CW is going to air a concert special with the cast singing some of the fans’ favorite songs throughout the show’s run. I hope we get My First Penis and Heavy Boobs. What do you want to hear?

Who is going to make the Crazy Ex Girlfriend their current one?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=21Gv-6uSW5Y
Last week, Josh Chan (Vincent Rodriguez III), Greg (Skylar Astin) and Nathaniel (Scott Michael Foster) all came out to meet Rebecca (Rachel Bloom) and two of her ex-boyfriends wanted to tell her they want her back. Tonight at 9p on The CW’s Crazy Ex Girlfriend, one of them will actually ask her out. Can you guess which one?

Before he does, another man will ask her to his apartment and she says yes. What? Darryl (Pete Gardner) asks her to babysit their daughter because he has a date. Will she finally bond with her egg? Actually, should she be left alone with kids in the first place?

While she is babysitting, Paula (Donna Lynne Champlin) throws a game night party, but it is actually for another reason. She has some good news to share and she wants to celebrate it with her best friends even though Rebecca and Darryl are not there. What is the big news?

You don’t want to miss that, a single seconds, the songs or the laughs. Things I am going to miss when the show ends in a few weeks.

Rachel Bloom puts the crazy in Crazy Ex Girlfriend
January 10th, 2019 under Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, Taking a bath. [ Comments: none ]

Almost every room in your house can become an office, but the one room that should not be is the bathroom. Don’t tell that to Rachel Bloom because she turned her bubble bath into a workspace.

While it makes working more relaxing, she better hope she does not drop her laptop into the bathtub. If she does, then all of her writing will be gone and it will not be coming back. And can she get electrocuted?

Since she is most likely working on the series finale of Crazy Ex Girlfriend, she better not mess it up. Which also makes me wonder if she took her job into the bath because the network told her to clean up the script? Which I hope they didn’t because I like it dirty!
