If you are like me, then you thought that Bryan Adams song Summer of ’69 was all about buying his first real guitar during the summer of Woodstock; and we are wrong. Over the weekend when the singer was playing a gig, a woman held up a sign that reads, “I wanna do a 69 with you!” He posted the photo and said, “At least someone understood the true context of the lyric of that song! #recklesstour #fans #live #summerof69.” That so explains, “Me and my baby in ’69, oh,” and “I knew that it was now or never,
Those were the best days of my life.”
Great, first Cyndi Lauper’s She Bop and now this, is there any song from the ’80s that isn’t all about sexual innuendo. Oh yeah, Adam Ant’s Strip and Salt-N-Pepa’s Push It.
When we think of Bryan Adams, we think of him as a singer. But there is another side of him, and that is being a phenomenal photographer.
Recently, he photographed Renee Zellweger for Zoo Magazine and she looks amazing. She looks different again, but he captured something about her that you can tell is straight from the heart.
In 1995, he sang Have You Ever Really Loved a Woman? Twenty years later you can tell that he has with his camera.
As if we didn’t have enough problems confusing Ryan Adams with Bryan Adams (even his estranged wife’s mother-in-law reportedly confused them), Ryan performed one of Bryan’s songs during a recent concert. I love the original version of Summer of ’69, but I have to say that the acoustic version might even be a little better.
I am so confused now, which Adams is which. Can you tell the difference between them because I can’t and I need help doing that.
Bryan Adams received a star on The Hollywood Walk of Fame today and to honor the big occasion he lied next to it with a big old smile on his face. The singer Tweeted, “Just hanging around on the pavement of Hollywood Blvd.” Now it might seem like he is playing it down, but look at that face you know he is in Heaven!!! Seriously doesn’t his happiness bring a smile to your face like the Summer of ’69?
Bryan Adams is going to be a father for the first time at the age of 51. The baby was not conceived from a One Night Love Affair because the mother of his child, Alicia Grimaldi is his personal assistant and the woman that co-founded his foundation. They are expecting their first child in May according to The Guardian. Hopefully the baby will wait til June so they can he can rework his song to the Summer of 11!
Oh and I have to wonder when she describes what labor was like if she will say it Cuts Like A Knife?
