Debbie Gibson was photographed during a challenge for Celebrity Apprentice and her face says how the women are doing during it. Her expression especially says if looks could kill, I would be dead right about now and so would you!
Back in January when I saw Tiffany and Debbie Gibson sing Don’t Stop Believin’ together, I started believing that the two ’80s pop stars would take their Journey to the road and guess what they are! The red headed mall singer no longer Thinks she is Alone now on the road because she told the NY Post she is going on tour with her rumored rival. And Deborah Gibson confirmed the news isn’t Only in Tiffany’s Dreams on her Twitter by Tweeting, “I awoke to the same news you did! Lol! Since the word is out..YES! I can confirm! Tiff n I on tour!”
The Mega Python vs Gatoroid co-stars will not only play songs from their Electric Youth they will also be singing covers of the songs with the Foolish Beat that made them who they are as singers! Sounds like it is going to be like totally awesome, so who is with me and ready to show these ’80s teen idols that they can still Shake Your Love!
So now that we have New Kids on the Block touring with Backstreet Boys, and Tiffany singing it out with Debbie Gibson…who do you think will be next? Greg Brady and Danny Partridge? Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera? Menudo from the early ’80s and Menudo from the late ’80s? Eddie Murphy and Jamie Foxx?
UPDATE: Tiffany took to her Facebook and explained that it isn’t a tour as of now, but a few shows between to the two ’80s teen idols. But I think if those do well, it can easily turn into a tour, don’t you agree? So let her know you want a Tiffany/Debbie Gibson tour because I sure as heck know I want to see them on one stage!!!
Here’s what Tiffany said Facebook:
Well guys
There’s no official tour. Just some shows in the works. I’m starting my touring dates in may. And this new record is taking off. So excited. Single will be released soon and video in the works next month….a lot to do.
With that said, I’m trying to put all things in motion. They’re will be shows with deb just not sure how many. So when they come up don’t miss them.
Xo
Tiffany has a new album coming out called Rose Tattoo and she is showing off the cover. Doesn’t the ’80s teen idol look as good now as she did then in that CD cover?
Tonight the movie that has been in the Electric Dreams of tons boys for many years will make its debut on Syfy at 9p and let me tell you that Mega Python vs Gatoroid is a total dream!
Debbie Gibson plays a snake lover (insert joke here) who rescues several snakes from different labs and releases them into the Florida Everglades. Only problem is she didn’t know they were part of an experiment and they grow to a Mega size and eat everything and everyone in their path. Tiffany plays the lead park ranger there trying to keep her Everglades alive, so she feeds the gators experimental steroids and they grow to size of a Gatoroid. Eventually the two over-sized reptilian creatures start battling it out and so do the two pop queens. Yes rumored rivals Tiffany and Debbie Gibson will have a huge a$$ cat fight that it makes the infamous Dynasty one seem like it was just a slap on the wrist. All of the previews for the Mega fight were only a small part of the actual one that is scene in the film. Seriously both pop singers are such incredible actresses in this movie, that it impressed me by how well they made the transition from singing to acting.
Besides the fight Mega Python vs Gatoroid is the funnest and most Mega movie I have ever seen on Syfy’s Saturday night at 9p and I have seen almost all of them. So whether you can stand horror movies or not, you are going to love this Mega Pyhton vs Gatoroid. BTW it is too cold to go out tonight, so don’t spend it Alone Now and stay in watch this movie and play the drinking I came up with for it. If you follow what I say below, by the end of the movie you will be mega sh!tfaced.
Mega Python vs Gatoroid Drinking Game:
Every time someone or something is killed, drink.
Every time someone says “Bitch”, drink
Every time there is a Debbie Gibson or Tiffany reference, finish the drink.
Last night ’80s Teen Pop rivals Tiffany and Debbie Gibson proved that rumored riff between them is just a rumor as they performed at The Canal Room in Manhattan. Listening to the two of them sing together, I hope just like New Kids on the Block and Backstreet Boys that these two ladies go on the road together. I know I would go see them live.
Oh and yesterday I watched the two of them in Mega Python vs Gatoroid that debuts on Syfy this Saturday at 9p and the movie is better than I thought it was going to be.,,and I knew it was going to be classic!!! BTW that below fight scene is a much shorter version that the final one that is in the mega awesome movie!!!
On January 29th at 9p Syfy is going to debut the future classic Mega Python vs Gatorid starring Tiffany and Debbie Gibson and I can’t f*cking wait for it. When we saw the clip of the two rumored to be rival ’80s pop darlings having a cat fight, I knew the movie was going to be tubular. But now that we have seen these three new clips from it, I know it going to be most awesome. And what will make it even more to the max would be a drinking game, so here is one…every time we see Tiffany’s Cleveland drink once and every time she cries drink twice. When Syfy releases more scenes with Debbie Gibson, I will come up with some for her too.
I have said this before and I will say it again, if this movie doesn’t win the Emmy for Best Television Movie it will be a travesty!!!
The most anticipated movie of 2011 just got an air date, so set your DVRs on January 29th to record Mega Python vs Gatoroid on Syfy at 9p. That’s right you can finally see Tiffany and Debbie Gibson cat fight and get all wet as they do it.
Here is how Syfy described the future Emmy winner for best TV Movie:
A production of The Asylum, Mega Python Vs Gatoroid takes an up-close-and-personal look at the crisis in the Florida Everglades where invasive Burmese pythons are threatening the indigenous alligator population. Gibson portrays a fanatical animal rights advocate who spends her evenings “liberating” illegally imported exotic snakes from pet stores and setting them free in the Everglades, where the pythons grow and thrive.
Tiffany plays an over-zealous park ranger worried about the growing ecological damage. To save her beloved alligators, she’s willing to employ dubious methods, overdosing them with steroids so they grow mega, setting off a war between the species – and putting her on a collision course with Gibson.
Seriously if this doesn’t get an Emmy nom next year, I won’t watch it. What more do you need for the perfect movie?
BTW another breakthrough for this movie is that it is the first time a woman has directed a Syfy original Saturday night movie. So hats off to Mary Lambert for directing the ’80s pop icons who will finally battle it out. Something we have been waiting 20 years to see!
At this point I am Team Tiffany, but I loved Debbie Gibson’s perfume Electric Dreams. What team are you on?
SyFy has released a scene from Mega Python vs Gatoroid and I think the movie starring Tiffany and Debbie Gibson is going to be a Mega hit. I Think that Generation X guys should watch it Alone because they just had their wet Electric Dreams come true seeing the two ’80s teen queens battle it out like that and end up all wet. You know they have been waiting over 20 years to see the rumored rivals have a Mega cat fight like that.
Seriously I knew this movie was going to be good, but after watching that scene it looks like it is going to be better than I ever thought it could be! I just wish we didn’t have to wait until next year to see the movie premiere on SyFy!
Before Tiffany was performing in malls, she was singing on Star Search. Can you believe after that performance in 1985 that the 13 year old singer came in second on the show?
’80s teen queens Tiffany and Debbie Gibson are filming Mega Python vs. Gatoroid and you so know that movie will be an instant cult classic when it airs on SyFy next year!!! Up until now we have only heard about it, and now thanks for the Electric Youth singer we are seeing the two of them together. Debbie Gibson Tweeted a picture of her rumored rival and her together and they looks so great in that photo. Seriously doesn’t the 39 year old blonde and the 38 year old red head look as good as they did when they first entered the charts back in 1987? In fact it looks as though the I Think We’re Alone Now singer has lost some weight without the help of Celebrity Fit Club. It is really evident in the photo Tiffany Tweeted with “3 real baby alligators! SOO FLIPPING CUTE!” Those 3 baby gators really are flipping cute, just no way you can get me to hold them like that.
Now that we have seen the two pop idols on the set of Mega Python vs. Gatoroid, I am even more excited. I really wish SyFy would push a rush on it and air this year as compared to next.
BTW SyFy has a cast a ’60s pop idol in the movie, The Monkees Micky Dolenz is joining in to fight the reptilians with the two ladies.
