Don’t ask Kelly Rowland about Beyoncé
February 21st, 2024 under Beyoncé. [ Comments: none ]

Kelly Rowland was on V-103 in Atlanta this morning to talk about her new Tyler Perry movie, whose name I won’t mention. However, she became upset when the DJs from The Big Tigger Morning Show with Jazzy McBee asked her about her old singing partner.

Big Tigger wanted to know if it is true that Beyoncé’s Renassaince: Act 2 is going to be Country and if Renassaince: Act 3 will either be a Rock album or a Destiny’s Child reunion. The singer smugly responded, “That is her [Beyoncé] business to talk about.” And then she winked.

Then Jazzy McBee explained that, as fans, they want to know, and they are still going to ask whenever she is on the show. To which Rowland replied that she was there to talk about her film and her film only.

Then “the actress” asked them if they had seen the film, and they hadn’t.

So, let’s go off the C-Lister. First off, when you are part of a supergroup where the lead singer becomes a superstar, you are going to have to accept that the press is always going to ask you about them. Just smile and answer the question. *NSYNC does it when asked about Justin Timberlake, the Friends cast does it when asked about their co-stars, and so on. If you don’t like it, too fucking bad. It comes with the territory.

Then, when it comes to if they have seen the movie, It would be nice if they did. But they don’t always have time to sit down and watch it. They are morning DJs, and screenings are past their bedtimes. If they were not provided a screener to watch at their convenience, that is not their fault.

So, Kelly, get off your high horse. You are not Beyoncé, and you never will be. Therefore, you should be happy with whatever press you get because, really, you are just a former band member who will be stuck doing reality shows. See you on The Masked Singer or We Are Family soon.

This press tour has not been going well for her. She reportedly walked on the fourth hour of Today on Thursday because the dressing room assigned to her was not up to her standards.

They say there is no such thing as bad press. And she has been getting a lot of it promoting this movie. So we will find out if that is true next week when we find out how her project does.

Beyoncé tops the Country charts!
February 20th, 2024 under Beyoncé. [ Comments: none ]

Beyoncé surprised us all on Super Bowl Sunday when she announced that she was releasing a Country album. Along with the announcement, she shared the first two singles, Texas Hold ‘Em and 16 Carriages, from Renaissance Act II.

And now one of those songs is #1 on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs Chart. By topping that chart with Texas Hold ‘Em, she becomes the first African-American woman to do so.

I know there are Country stations that are opting not to play her tune, but they are making a mistake.

Just like how Taylor Swift brought new fans into football, Beyoncé will do the same with Country. And that is a good thing. More fans equals more money!

Although, she doesn’t need any more money. Because with this #1, she has now topped seven different types of music charts on Billboard: Hot 100, Hot Country Songs, Hot Dance/Electronic Songs, Hot Gospel Songs, Hot Latin Songs, Hot R&B Songs, and Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs. The only artist who has done more than her is Justin Bieber with eight.

Does this Beyoncé wax figure look like Leah Remini?
February 8th, 2024 under Beyoncé, Leah Remini, Madame Tussauds. [ Comments: none ]

Madame Tussauds Blackpool revealed its Beyoncé wax figure, and people are questioning if it looks more like Leah Remini. Because it does.

What does the actress think of the comparison? “I am screaming! And loving all the tweets,” she wrote. “This perimenopausal woman will take any and all comparisons to the beautiful Beyoncé!”

You can’t blame her for loving it. Although, she has to remember she is beautiful in her own right.

Beyoncé and Taylor Swift are the biggest names in music today. So, you would think that there would be a rivalry between the two women. And there is not.

Yesterday, at the premiere of Taylor Swift: The Era Tour movie, Beyoncé came out to support her.

After the movie screened, Swift wrote, “I’m so glad I’ll never know what my life would’ve been like without @beyonce‘s influence. The way she’s taught me and every artist out here to break rules and defy industry norms. Her generosity of spirit. Her resilience and versatility. She’s been a guiding light throughout my career and the fact that she showed up tonight was like an actual fairytale. ”

I love that they love each other. Imagine if they went on tour together! They would break records in every city they went to. And Ticketmaster would combust. Basically, you could say it would be one of the Eras and cause quite a Renaissance.

Finally, now that Beyoncé came out for Taylor, Taylor better come out for Beyoncé’s film Renassaince: A Film by Beyoncé on December 1st.
