Chris Daughtry was on Jimmy Kimmel Live yesterday and he debuted his new song that is destined to be a hit. The American Idol has written a ballad for the Canadian Idol Mayor Rob Ford, and it is as awesome as you think it will be. So sit back and enjoy as he belt outs lyrics like “drunk-driving, crack-smoking mayor of Toronto”. If that doesn’t crack you up, I don’t know what will. I know what else might work, watching anything that Rob Ford has done recently. Those are always good for a laugh.
Chris Daughtry became a father on November 17th to twins Adalynn and Noah and now he is showing them off on Twitter. The proud papa Tweeted, “I’m SO in love!” and we are in love seeing him cuddle his newborns at Home like that. Seriously how precious is that picture? Doesn’t it just warm your heart, even it is below freezing where you live?
Kelly Clarkson Tweeted these pictures of Chris Daughtry and her before she performed with his band Daughtry in Nashville. She also captioned the pictures with, “Who could refuse these faces?!” I don’t know about you, but I can’t refuse the faces of two of the top three selling artists from American Idol! Seriously how awwwdorable are they together? I so want them to record a duet together. Can you imagine both of their voices on one song? That and how cute their album cover would be!
Chris Daughtry announced on his website that his wife Deanna and him are getting two very special gifts to celebrate their 10th anniversary because they are expecting twins in November.
The statement read, “Due to Deanna’s partial hysterectomy in 2006 the couple used IVF and had their embryos transferred to a gestational surrogate, the babies will join the couples’ other children – Hannah and Griffin.
‘Deanna and I are overjoyed about this double blessing,’ says Chris. ‘Thank you for your expressions of love and support and for respecting for our privacy during this special time.'”
That is such wonderful news for them and what a way to celebrate 10 years of being married to each other! The twins are Chis’ first biological children and his wife’s second and third.
BTW I wonder when Chis had time to make these babies because he was away a lot promoting his chart topping album Leave This Town with his band Daughtry around the time they got pregnant. I guess it only takes one time! Congrats to the 4 of them that soon will become 6!
Daughtry has always been a groundbreaking band and tonight they will be performing a Live Set on the net at 9:20p est. The Live Set is part of Sony’s Make.Believe and can be viewed at Daughtryofficial.com, Facebook.com/Daughtry, Facebook.com/Sony, Crackle.com, and myplay.com.
Daughtry will be performing songs from their top selling #1 albums their self-titled debut and Leave This Town. Daughtry always puts on a rockin’ show, so why not let them in your Home tonight at 9:20p est and watch them do what they do best…perform live! Plus it will be cool to see Chris Daughtry sing with a full head of hair and not the shaved head we are used to seeing him with since we got to know him on American Idol.
Chris Daughtry tweeted this picture and said, “By the way…I’m growin my hair out. Like it or not:).” I don’t know about you, but I like him with some hair on his head and I hope he let’s hair get a little longer. Normally I don’t like bald men, but Chris is one of the few guys that I think that can actually pull off the look. But seeing him with hair, I think he pulls off that look off even better! How do you like Chris Daughtry better?

Two weeks ago I interviewed Daughtry at the music video shoot for Life After You about the Leave This Town Tour that starts tonight and they told me the tour is going to be hot. When I say hot, I mean literally because they told me pyrotechnics are going to be involved. They didn’t know what that meant at the time, but they were excited with the notion of adding fire of some sort to the their tour. That’s hot!
The 5 bandmates just came off small intimate club tour that was a gift for the fans and were looking forward to adding 6 songs more to their arena tour that goes until December 20th. So you would think because they are spending so much time together that they would be sick of each other? Not the case for Josh Paul, Josh Stelly, Chris Daughtry, Joey Barnes and Brian Craddock, these five friends enjoy the time together. They told me even you wanted to separate them they would still get together to play video games and such. They later added that one of the best things to happen them since they joined Daughtry is their friendship. Something you can feel as you see them standing together.
What initially got me into Daughtry was the music, but what makes me f*cking love them so much is just how welcoming they are to anyone that comes within their way. You feel like one of their friends as soon as you say hi to them. They really like to include their fans in what they do. In fact Chris Daughtry is constantly giving away free VIP tickets the shows on his Twitter page, so you should totally follow him so that you might be able to win tickets to one of the below dates. Plus as he told me, “It’s good to keep the fans updated. Sometimes I keep them update a little too much,” so you never know what he is going to Tweet about!!!
So if you want to know if Leave This Town is coming to a town near, check out the list below. And whether or not they are coming make sure to pick up the Daughtry’s second #1 album Leave This Town, it is so addictive you won’t want to take out of your CD player or off you iPod.

About two weeks I was invited to Daughtry’s music video shoot for Life After You and I got to talk to the band about the song and the video. Life After You is the follow-up single to No Surprise off the #1 album Leave This Town.
When I met up with Daughtry they were shooting the final scenes of the video in an abandoned warehouse in Downtown LA. They had been there since the early hours of that Sunday morning after a long weekend that included an event in Vegas on Friday night and a two-day music video shoot over the weekend. But standing there talking to them in a place that looked it had been used in several horror movies, you would never know that they were barely sleeping and two weeks away from starting a huge tour. What I am sure will come as No Surprise to you guys, is these 5 guys are unfazed by all the success that they have experienced in the last few years. Daughtry is the number #1 selling band in the new millennium and there is not one ego among the bunch. They are just 5 friends having a good old time doing what they love.
You can see in the above interview that they love joking around with each other and anyone that comes in their path. Even though when I spoke to them, they had only one more scene to shoot they weren’t sure how the video was going to turn out. Chris Daughtry said, “We’ve shot in a lot of different locations. A lot of different scenarios that are all suppose to bleed into the life of Daughtry basically on the road. And so as of now we are shooting it out of order. We are not really sure of how it all lines up, but it seems like it is going to work.” It all did work out and you can see the video for Life After You below to see just how well it did turn out.
Come back on Monday to hear what the guys told me about their upcoming 36-date arena tour that starts off in Kansas City that same day! And check out Chris Daughtry’s Twitter page because he is randomly giving away VIP tickets to the show!
Daughtry’s Leave This Town is coming out on in just two weeks and to support the record they will play 13 intimate dates around The US! Chris Daughtry said, “This club tour is a thank you to our loyal fans. Its a great way for them to see us up close and, more importantly, at a cheap price.” How f*cking awesome is it for Daughtry to do this especially since their last album was the #1 selling CD of the year! It is not like they have to, but they want to do it!
Here are the 13 dates for the lucky fans:

BTW if you don’t live in a city that they are playing this go-around, don’t worry they are launching a North American tour this fall!!!
Daughtry’s follow up to their hugely successfully debut CD will be out in just over a month, but you don’t have to wait until then for the track listing for Leave This Town!
1. You Don’t Belong
2. No Surprise
3. Every Time You Turn Around
4. Life After You
5. What I Meant to Say
6. Open Up Your Eyes
8. Ghost Of Me
9. Learn My Lesson
11. Tennessee Line
12. Call Your Name
No Surprise is already a hit and now Chris Daughtry is explaining the meaning behind it, “In it, the song’s theme of love gone wrong is expressed through the character’s relationship with the town where he lives. ‘The place you call home can cause heartbreak just like a bad relationship,’ Chris says. ‘Places change just like people change. Sometimes the best thing you can do is leave.'” He also explains that the title of the album comes from a line from the song September, “The bittersweet ballad draws on the singer’s experiences growing up with his brother in a tiny North Carolina town. ‘Every time I hear that song it takes me back to my summers in Lasker,’ he says. ‘I loved growing up there, but I knew I’d have leave to make something of my life.'”
I so can’t wait to hear this Leave This Town when it comes out on July 14th!!!
