Tim Allen shares an epic story about Robin Williams and Rodney Dangerfield
November 16th, 2022 under Comedy Central Roast of Bob Saget, Jon Lovitz, Kelly Clarkson, Robin Williams, Tim Allen. [ Comments: none ]

Tim Allen was on The Kelly Clarkson Show today, and she asked him about a photo he shared of himself with Bob Saget, Rodney Dangerfield, Jon Lovitz, and Robin Williams. The daytime talk show host wanted to know what was going on behind the snapshot.

The Last Man Standing told her that Mork doesn’t shut up, and the Man Who Got No Respect wasn’t getting any respect. As in, Dangerfield was trying to say something but Williams wouldn’t shut up long enough to let him talk. So Allen was laughing because he was waiting for Dangerfield to have a “nervous breakdown.” Which he didn’t have. Saget wanted to go eat at the buffet. And Lovitz wanted everyone to know he was Lovitz.

So if you ever wondered what comedians do when they meet up in person, now you know. And I wish I were a fly to hear what they were saying.

RIP Bob Saget
January 9th, 2022 under Comedy Central Roast of Bob Saget, Full House, Obits. [ Comments: 8 ]

Bob Saget was found dead today at the age of 65. The Orange County Sheriff’s Office in Florida says there are “no signs of foul play or drug use in this case.”

Saget was known as America’s Dad because he played Danny Tanner on Full House. During that decade, he also hosted the G-rated America’s Funniest Videos. While he played wholesome on television, his comedy act was anything but that.

In fact, he got his start as Bosom Buddies’ Warm-up comedian and made his television debut on the sitcom that was produced by the people who did Full House. And the rest is showbiz history.

Besides making us laugh, he spent a lot of time as a philanthropist. His biggest cause was the Scleroderma Research Foundation. His sister, Gay, died from the autoimmune disease at 47. He spent 30 years working to get the word out about it and raising money for research for the debilitating disease that also killed my mother. For that, I am grateful to Saget. And I am grateful I was able to tell him that.

Saget would want to be remembered with laughter, so go ahead do it. Watch him do what he does best, whether it is safe for work or so not safe for work.

His final Instagram post said just that. To read it, then click here!

BTWF: Bob Saget in Full Moon High
April 22nd, 2021 under Before They Were Famous, Comedy Central Roast of Bob Saget. [ Comments: none ]

Before Bob Saget was doing morning news on Full House, he was covering sports in Full Moon High. He looks the same now as he did when he was 24 in that 1981 movie.

Everywhere you look, it is Bob Saget at his full house

Bob Saget was in San Fransisco, so he had to visit an old friend. Who is that old friend? The Full House house, of course!

I don’t know what gives me joy about this video, seeing him at his old haunt or seeing how happy he is to be back there? I think the latter.

Would you vote for a Bob Saget and John Stamos ticket?

As soon as Kanye West announced that he was running for president of the United States, Bob Saget started to question if he should do it too. After some consideration, he decided to go for it.

He even has the perfect running mate, John Stamos. When he told his BFF about it, Stamos had the perfect reaction, “And if anything should happen to Saget.” I guess Danny Tanner will clean up the election, and then he will be out of a job. Who wouldn’t prefer Stamos as the Commander-in-Chief?

Now, we just have to wonder what role Dave Coulier will play in their administration. We all know the first thing they will do when they get into office. That will be to pardon Lori Loughlin.
