BTWF roles: Craig Bierko on Empty Nest
November 9th, 2017 under Before They Were Famous, Craig Bierko. [ Comments: none ]

Before Craig Bierko had women falling all over him on UnReal, he only had one woman doing it on Empty Nest and he did not want her. How handsome was the 26-year-old in that 1991 episode?

Is Craig Ferguson auditioning to replace Kaley Cuoco on The Big Bang Theory?
September 22nd, 2010 under Chuck Lorre, Craig Bierko, Kaley Cuoco. [ Comments: none ]

Kaley Cuoco has had to take an extended medical leave from The Big Bang Theory after suffering a broken leg when she fell of a horse a week and a half ago. So I have to wonder if Chuck Lorre and Bill Prady are looking for her replacement and if Craig Ferguson is their woman, I mean man.
Actually he isn’t, sorry to disappoint. But I have some good news, the guys from The Big Bang Theory are all going to be on The Late Late Show tonight at 12:37a on CBS before the premiere of their new season on the network tomorrow at 8p. Sheldon aka Jim Parsons, Leonard aka Johnny Galecki, Howard aka Simon Helberg and Raj aka Kunal Nayyar will be featured throughout the whole show from beginning to end. That means we will get them in a comedy sketch, Tweets and E-mails and being interviewed by the Scot himself! I am sure they will talk about Kaley and her injury! All in all it should be a really fun show!
And what is really funny show is tomorrow’s The Big Bang Theory’s season premiere. It is seriously one of the funniest episodes I have seen of any show in a really long time and I can’t stop watching it. Oh and after seeing tomorrow’s TBBT, I wonder how Simon Helberg is going to react to Robot Sidekick Geoff Peterson because it should lead to some interesting flashbacks for him from the season premiere! Although after seeing the second episode, the Emmy winning Jim Parsons might have some suggestions for Geoff!
So make sure to watch The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson on CBS at 12:37a tonight and The Big Bang Theory tomorrow on its new day and time at 8p.
Finally before Craig talks the 4 funny actors, David Letterman is going to interview Joaquin Phoenix for the first time since he used the Late Late Show to be part of his mockumentary I’m Still Here without his knowledge.

August 7th, 2010 under Craig Bierko. [ Comments: none ]

Today when Craig Bierko decides to wake up (which is now) he is going to host his first Tweetathon at @MrCraigBierko for Loma Linda Children’s Hospital and continue Tweeting until tomorrow night. That’s right he is going to spend 24 hours in his underwear Tweeting not only little 140 characters messages, but he has also enlisted his celebrity friends to post videos for you to watch like Michael Ian Black doing fake late night sex ad and Steven Weber doing a little dance just for us! I have seen Steven Weber in Hair and believe me he looks impressive when he dances!!! So why are they all doing this, they’re doing it for a good cause because Loma Linda Children’s Hospital performed the first infant heart transplant and that was over 2,000 transplants ago! Isn’t that incredible? So please donate just $10 to the hospital by texting KIDS to 27722, all donations are being matched during the Tweetathon. That’s right instead of giving $10 you are really giving $20 and that money will go a longs way! So set your Twitters to @MrCraigBierko for the best Tweetathon ever!!!

Craig Bierko’s LOVEly idea to help the people of Haiti!!!
January 16th, 2010 under Craig Bierko. [ Comments: none ]

Craig Bierko has a brilliant idea for us to be able help the people of Haiti who suffering from the devastating effects of the 7.0 quake that happened on Wednesday. So many of us have to wanted to give money to help them, but financially we are trying to figure out how to do it. Well Craig came up with this genius idea and posted his plea on The Huffington Post that he titled “This Valentine’s Day, Let’s All Get Together and Make Love” and I thought it was so awesome that I had to share it with y’all and I hope you share it with others!

Last night I made a donation while watching CNN. A young girl had been trapped between two massive sheets of collapsed cement. She was terrified and the rescue workers kept her spirits high as they labored to free her, which they eventually did. Overcrowded conditions and the general mayhem of disaster complicated her delivery to a hospital and, by the time rescuers finally got her to a doctor the young girl had died.
My heart ached for this child – and it broke for her injured mother who was too weak to be told the news just yet.
I thought of my mother, my nieces, my beautiful girlfriend Meg and our dog Boo. I felt my heart swell to the point of bursting because all of the beautiful ladies in my life were healthy and out of harm’s way tonight.
And that’s when the ache in my heart became an idea.
Valentine’s Day is approaching – a day reserved for couples to celebrate their love for one another by giving flowers, candy, sharing a romantic dinner, exchanging gifts or spending a night in some cozy out of the way hotel.
I am suggesting we dedicate Valentine’s Day to those men and women who lost the love of their lives this week – or, right this moment, await news regarding a husband, wife, boyfriend, girlfriend or child.
I’m not talking about romance – I’m talking about love.
And I’m talking about money. The money you’d spend on the flowers, the candy, the dinner, the cozy out of the way hotel. That money.
Ladies, take your boyfriend or husband by the hand and tell him that instead of roses, candy and dinner, you prefer to celebrate the miracle of love this year by giving – together, as a couple.
Let’s unite our hearts – right now, today – and offer a piece of the love in our own lives to those who need it desperately.
Gay, straight, Republican, Democrat, high school sweethearts, elderly and middle-aged couples alike – let’s celebrate this Valentine’s Day early by making love now.
Ladies, you know that this will be a lot easier if it comes from you, not us. Let your man know you’d like to donate the money you’d spend on indulging romance – and offer it together as a gesture of gratefulness for your good fortune – and in the name of those who suffer alone in misery.

It is such a simple thing to do instead of spending at least $100 on your special person on February 14th, how about using that money to help send supplies to Haiti? I will imagine I had someone to spend money on for Valentine’s Day and use that to share the love with the Haitians.
BTW Craig Bierko was just seen on CBS’s hit show The Good Wife doing a phenomenal job and soon we can see him on the Emmy winning Damages on FX.

Craig Bierko is Easy to Assemble
September 29th, 2008 under Craig Bierko, Interviews. [ Comments: none ]

Illeana Douglas has created the brilliant webseries Easy To Assemble. In it she has quit her Hollywood acting job and is working at the Ikea in Burbank (my Ikea) and learning how Easy everything is To Assemble. Several of her friends including the hysterical and witty Craig Bierko appear in the webisodes, so when I saw his name attached I had to ask him about it. Afterall he did create the brilliant webisode Bathing with Bierko!!!

Seriously? OMG! WTF?: How did you get involved with Easy to Assemble?
Craig Bierko: I’m friends with Illeana and when she told me about the concept for the show I thought it was hilarious and surreal, a combo that always appeals to me. I also liked the idea of playing myself because I wasn’t always a fan of the guy who played me before.

SOW: Do you carry your Allen Wrench around with you at all times even when you are not working?
CB: I think they have a lot of nerve naming something that small and nonwrench-like anything but what it is – a little bent piece of metal. You can’t do that. You’re not allowed to just pick up a little bent piece of metal and claim “Allen Wrench.” That’s bullshit, man.

SOW: Do you shop at Ikea? Did you have some Swedish Meatballs when you shot the webisode?
CB: I must have bought something at Ikea at some point. Maybe a frame of some kind, or a pot. I really don’t like to put things together though, especially if I’m going to sit on it eventually. I’m not good at doing that stuff and it seems like a cost-efficient recipe for serious spinal cord injury. I missed the meatballs but the smell is never far away at Ikea.

SOW: Can you believe the success of Easy To Assemble? Did you hear CBS.com picked up the webisodes?
CB: I didn’t know that until just now but I’m not surprised. Illeana emailed me a few days ago and told me some of the people who are planning to do – or have already shot – an episode. She’s worked with everyone and everyone loves her so that means it’s going to be really fun to see who pops up week after week.

SOW: What have you been up to? What are you working on?
CB: I’m about to shoot an episode of a show called “Head Case” which Ali Wentworth does for Starz. Once again, I’ll play myself – only this time I’m getting therapy from Ali, who plays a shrink to the stars. It’s all improvised which is good because that’s what I usually do anyway.

SOW: Taken baths with anyone famous recently and filmed it? Or not so famous?
CB: I gave my dog Boo a bath last night and she’s quite renowned in my apartment.

SOW: What happened with “To Be Or Not To Be”?
CB: Well, I’ll just say that it was a very difficult decision for me to leave the play. Everyone in the cast is so talented – as is the director Casey Nicholaw who is probably the single nicest, most enthusiastic, big-hearted person I’ve ever met. You stand next to him and you just start smiling. There should be a few of him on every block, the world would be a better place.

SOW: What will we next see you in?
CB: I’ve got a Vera Wang number that’s going to stun you to your socks.

I can’t wait to see Craig in that Vera Wang number, you know he is going to be so sexy in it! Seriously he always cracks me up! So I can’t wait to see what he does when he is on Head Case, a show that is so perfect for his comic timing!
On an Easy To Assemble note, the webseries is doing so well in its first two weeks alone that CBS has picked it up and the webisodes can be seen on TV.com.
Thank you so much Craig Bierko for taking the time to answers my questions once again!
