The big news to come out of the Comedy Central Roast for Roseanne was that her ex-husband, who she hadn’t seen in person for 18 years, came out to honor her in a way that you can only do so at a roast. But it was not an easy task to make happen, and yesterday on Jimmy Kimmel Live he explained how the exes made it work. Even though his people said no to the offer at first, the producers of the Roast called him days before it to have him be part of the show. They had different ways they were going to incorporate him into it and it wasn’t until the third try and call from Roseanne on a Friday night that his wife, his publicist and him agreed to do it. Once they both said yes, he then had to call his lawyers to see if he could legally be within 50 feet of her.
Now that he has been legally cleared to do the show, he had a condition for Roseanne per his publicist. She at first balks at the idea, but then she comes to agreement that his publicist is OK with and it is a done deal.
Now it showtime and he tells how he was able to keep appearance a secret from everyone including a lot of the people who work for Comedy Central that were there. He goes up and does his schtick and as soon as it was done he ran off the stage. Roseanne followed him during the commercial break and said some nice things to him. So Kimmel asked him if they made love and he says no. Am I the only hoping that the two of them reconcile because they were so good together in a bad way?
BTW I just loved his tale on how it all went down that I had to share it with you. Well that and he completely won over for being such a gentleman at the Roast!
Roseanne is an open book on Twitter, so why does it surprise me that posted she pictures before and after her eye surgery today. Even though she didn’t say what it was for, she did say “The last Blind Tweet!” So I am assuming because of the middle picture, she had cataract surgery. Now when it comes to that middle picture, she Tweeted this with it, “They just wheeled me into surgery. Had to wait 3 hours in my designer hat.” Too bad it looks like she didn’t keep it when they were done because it really works on her.
Tonight at 10p on Comedy Central Roseanne is finally going to get what has been coming to her for a very long time and let’s just say she gives it as good as she takes it.
During the Comedy Central Roast of Roseanne Jane Lynch, Carrie Fisher, Katey Sagal, Ellen Barkin, Seth Green, Wayne Brady, Gilbert Gottfried, Jeffrey Ross, Amy Schumer and Anthony Jeselnik come together to honor the Sitcom Goddess. And as she says Comedy Central needs to look up the word honor because what they say about her isn’t exactly honorable, but it is very funny. There are so many jabs that the Roasters use on each other that you will be using them on your friends after you watch it. In fact this tamer Roast is the best one of them all because it is funny and mean, but not that mean. That is something that has kind of dampened the feel of the last few Roasts.
The surprise of the night comes when her ex-husband Tom Arnold was a last minute addition. At first he has us in stitches, but then he says something so sweet that you will be a fan of his forever. Personally I think that even though both of them are with other people, that they are going to hook up again. It is that sentimental.
Then just as you like awwww how sweet, Gilbert Gottfried will change the mood into one of a laugh out riot. They saved the best for last with him, but Ellen Barkin really gives him a run for her money with routine. Who knew she was so hilarious?
Actually all the roasters did a great job on tonight’s Comedy Central Roast of Roseanne at 10p, so don’t miss a single second of it or Roseanne will come to your house and sing the national anthem!
Last Saturday Roseanne’s oldest TV son and daughter came out to the Comedy Central Roast of Roseanne and they told me what they were looking forward to see happen to their TV mom on the special that airs tonight at 10p.
Lecy Goranson told me that this Roast has been a long time coming and she can’t wait to see Roseanne Barr put in her place. While Michael Fishman was there mostly to enjoy the show. Not only did DJ and Becky #1 sit in the audience, the two of them also Roasted their TV mom and you can tell it was all done with love and some revenge…

Frances Fisher came out for the Comedy Central Roast of Roseanne that airs tonight at 10p because her old friend asked her to. The two worked together on her sitcom back in 1988 and have remained friends since. So is she worried for her? She said that “Roseanne Barr is not afraid of anything and that is why we love her!” Amen to that!
So what does the does she have coming up? She is starring in Stephenie Meyer’s The Host, she just wrapped Red Wing and she is about to start working in Catherine Hardwick’s Plush. On Saturday Comedy Central Roasted Roseanne and one of the Roasters from the special that airs this Sunday at 10p was the always funny Gilbert Gottfried. Before he told Roseanne what he thinks about her, I got to talk to him on the brown carpet that matched the one on her #1 rated show.
He told me he came out for the free meal (which I heard was catered by the always yummy Wolfgang Puck) and the paycheck. And I can’t argue with him because that is a good enough reason for anyone to do it.
Then I had to find out from him, whose voice is more distinguishable his or Roseanne’s? He said that both are their voices are so sexy that they should do a p0rn together. Something I would pay to see. But I can’t wait until then, so I got him to talk sexy to me and you have to listen what he said because it is such a turn on.

Now when it comes to him Roasting Roseanne or as he calls her Rozilla, all I will tell you is they saved the best for last because he was freaking hysterical. He had me laughing so hard, I spit up drink and I am normally a swallower.
On Saturday night Comedy Central taped their Roast of Roseanne and her ex-husband Tom Arnold was a surprise Roaster at the show that airs this Sunday at 10p. No one but Arnold, Barr and a few others knew he was going to be at the show. In fact according to what he told TMZ, he wasn’t even sure he was going to do it until the last minute. Roseanne Tweeted her side of how it happened, by saying “I invited Tom Arnold2 roast me-he was afraid& his publicists insisted he NOT do it-but after I assured him it would be tame, he came.” Then she added, “Tom Arnold and I have a lifetime restraining order from each other-so there is no way he would ever have just showed up/ violated that”. Tom Arnold responded to that by saying, “Hahaha!” And that was how I reacted to his Roasting of Roseanne. He has matured a lot since their marriage and divorce and kept his part very classy and extremely funny. As he ended his time, he said something so sweet about Roseanne that you can tell he got choked up about it and so will you. That is until after the commercial break because Gilbert Gottfried will having you shedding tears of laughter. All I will tell you about that is one word and that word is “Rozilla!”

On August 12th Roseanne will finally get what some people have been dreaming of doing to her for a really long time, Comedy Central is going to Roast the sitcom Queen. Although Tom Arnold and the cast of Roseanne will not be sitting on the Dais, Comedy Central announced today just who will be there to throw some jabs at the Presidential candidate. Her TV mother-in-law’s real life daughter Carrie Fisher will be there, along with Katey Sagal who lost out on Emmys to her, Sharon Stone who once guest starred on the top rated sitcom will show us just how funny she is and finally Seth Green most likely stole Seth MacFarlane’s invite to be on the show. So now we know which actors will be joking around with her, which comedians will be showing up too? They are Anthony Jeselnik, Jeffrey Ross and Amy Schumer. I have to admit this is the best Dais I have seen for a Comedy Central Roast in a while, that I can’t wait to cover the red carpet on Sunday! I don’t know what it is, but I just love Roseanne Barr Thomas Arnold Pentland.
Roseanne Barr was on Late Night yesterday and Jimmy Fallon challenged her to a game of Password. The Presidential candidate and the host had to guess a word from clues given to them by an audience member. Fallon’s audience member said pink and he said singer. Then it was the comedian’s turn and her person said bird. Of course now you know what the word is, but she thought it was vag!na. How she got there from pink bird, I have no idea but then again who has any idea what she does most of the time.
…and how you never want to see her again. Roseanne Barr Tweeted the above picture and said, “Fat old Jew” I think the woman who is going to be Roasted by Comedy Central left out a few adjectives, don’t you agree. Which words would you add to describe that photo of her?
