Legendary actor Tony Curtis passed away yesterday at age of 85 from a heart attack according to The LA Times. His daughter Jamie Lee Curtis released this statement about her father’s passing, “My father leaves behind a legacy of great performances in movies and in his paintings and assemblages. He leaves behind children and their families who loved him and respected him and a wife and in-laws who were devoted to him. He also leaves behind fans all over the world. Rumors have been circulating that he was on his death bed after spending 3 weeks in the hospital with pneumonia. Film icon Tony Curtis is bouncing back from his medical issues, according to his reps, while emphatically denying a German report that he has cancer. "Absolutely untrue," a source close to Curtis said Friday. "He's making a remarkable recovery. He's walking and getting his strength back." Curtis, who recently was hospitalized for three weeks with pneumonia, was reported to be back in physical rehab. Curtis' assistant, Julie McRey, said the 81-year-old actor "does not have cancer. He's doing great. He has about two more weeks of therapy."
