Nicole Eggert explains why she is coming forward now about Scott Baio
January 30th, 2018 under Nicole Eggert, Scott Baio. [ Comments: 1 ]

For decades, there have been rumors that Scott Baio and Nicole Eggert dated when they starred on Charles in Charge together back in the late ‘80s. For the last several years, the actress has been claiming that he touched her inappropriately starting when she was just 14.

She has mentioned this several times on Twitter, and Baio and wife denied the claims each time. But in the #MeToo era, she is finally ready to take her allegations off of social media and into the spotlight. Over the weekend, when she Tweeted it about, Baio did a 16-minute Facebook Live, with his proof that it did not happen and he says that his lawyers have stopped her from coming forward in the past when she spoke to Dr Oz and TMZ.

Today, he could not stop her when she went on Megyn Kelly Today and she explained why now. She said, “What my truth is, is that I wasn’t ready to tell my story,” Then she added, “For me it was always protecting the show and protecting that whole legacy that nothing happened there. That was my delusion, and that was my cover-up, always. I always lied about it.” A show that still streams on NBC.com.

What does she say she lied about? She says the first time it happened, she was just 14, and he fingered her in his car in his garage. That is when she alleges the abuse started and went on during a weekly basis until they had sex when she was 17 and he was in his mid-20’s. She said it was not rape, but she added she was also not exactly a willing partner. After the two had intercourse, she says he changed and became distant to her. Before that, she claims, he would touch her on the set and try to sneak kisses. Something, two of her co-stars, including Alexander Polinsky who played her younger brother on the show, corroborated.

Why didn’t she say anything back then? She says, “The issue with him is, he was our boss…and he also was telling me, ‘You can’t tell anybody, this is illegal, I’ll go to jail, the show will be over, everybody will be sued, you’ll be out of a job, you’ll ruin everybody’s life.’ And it’s scary. It’s intimidating, especially when you are that young.” It was her first big role, she was just a teen living in adult world and he was a big star back then. It is a lot for someone of her age to handle. Something she says, “If I could go back to a younger Nicole, I would tell her she doesn’t have to be ashamed that she’s a victim,’…Shame can play such a weird part and such a strong voice…you lie. I didn’t want anybody to look at me and think I was weak.” Strength is something many women finally feel they have now because we can come forward, we are being heard and we are being believed.

When it comes to whether she will go to the police as he suggested. Her lawyer, Lisa Bloom, says he might just get what he wants. But that is just one of the many ways, she can respond to him legally and they are considering their options.

How much would you pay to feed Scott Baio?
February 2nd, 2016 under Scott Baio. [ Comments: none ]

We are just days away from the Super Bowl, but that isn’t stopping companies from releasing their commercials for that night now. Avocados from Mexico revealed their ad for Sunday night early and it is one that takes place in the future, like the distant future. A tour guide is showing aliens around a museum filled with artifacts from our time like the Rubik’s Cube, Emojis and Scott Baio. The final stop on the tour is of an avocado tree from Mexico and he asks who wants to feed Chachi Arcola. Sadly no one said yes even though it was included in the price. I don’t know what is wrong with them because I would’ve done it. Heck, I would have paid to do it. What about you?

That time a b!tch got her time of the month on Scott Baio!
December 4th, 2014 under Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos, Scott Baio. [ Comments: none ]

Laura Dern was a guest on Live with Kelly and Michael yesterday and she told them an embarrassing story about the first movie she did. The actress starred in the coming of age flick Foxes with Scott Baio, and her mother invited him over to the house. The teen heartthrob said yes and showed up in Saturday Night Fever like white pants suit. She then said he sat down on the couch and her dog greeted him. Only problem is, the puppy was in heat and left her mark on his suit.
To this day, it is still hard for her talk about the incident that happened 35 years ago. Then again, if it happened to any of us, we would also still be traumatized from it to this day.
What made Dern’s tale even better is how Kelly Ripa and Michael Strahan’s reacted when she was done telling it. Their expressions are as classic as Laura’s story.

A really cool mini-Happy Days reunion!
August 21st, 2013 under Scott Baio. [ Comments: none ]

Scott Baio Tweeted this really awesome photo of Happy Days creator Garry Marshall, TV stepdad Al Molinaro and writer Rich Corell on the set of See Dad Run, which is the same sound stage where they shot Happy Days together over 30 years ago. I don’t know about you; but seeing Chachi with first TV family again put a big smile on my face.
I can’t remember the last time I saw Al Molinaro, and I have to say that the 94 year old actor, who also starred on The Odd Couple and Joanie Loves Chachi, is looking fantastic. Actually they all look great and it is even better to see them all happy together in one place!
I can’t wait to see what happens Garry Marshall appears with Baio on Nick At Nite’s See Dad Run this season. That’s got be interesting for Marshall, you know, acting with this little kid he saw grow up, who is now older than he was when hired him to star on Happy Days.
BTW I remember reading once that Garry Marshall likes to name his characters after streets and every time I pass Arcola Ave in Toluca Lake (a few blocks from where Marshall lives), I think of them.
