Jordin Sparks is married…with a child on the way
November 14th, 2017 under American Idol 6. [ Comments: 1 ]

Surprise not only has Jordin Sparks been married since July to Dana Isaiah, the American Idol winner is expecting her first child in the Spring.

According to People, Sparks met her future husband’s family at the Super Bowl. When he decided to move to LA to pursue modeling, their parents set the two of them up. As soon as they met each other during Easter, it was love at first sight. So much so, the two eloped in Hawaii on July 16th and had a small ceremony with their friends. Then a month and a half later, they found out they are having a honeymoon baby. It was not something expecting, but they are more than excited for their future child.

Congrats to the two and a half of them!

Remember Sanjaya Malakar?
May 2nd, 2011 under American Idol 6, Remember?. [ Comments: 2 ]

I think the last time I saw Sanjaya Malakar was when he was on I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here and it seems we got him out our lives. Well that was until last night where the American Idol 6 contestant was seen at The 26th Annual Lucille Lortel Awards.
I think the 26 year old looks so much better with his shorter hair and not that infamous fauxhawk he wore on Idol. Although the new look doesn’t make him stand out like he used. What do you think?

How is American Idol’s Antonell Barba not on Jersey Shore?
June 25th, 2010 under American Idol 6. [ Comments: none ]

via Idol Chatter
Remember American Idol 6 wannabe Antonella Barba who was more famous for the pictures that she took for her boyfriend at the time than her voice? Well she has a new music video out called Jersey Girl, and I want to know how she is not on Jersey Shore. Unlike the people who are on the show, she really is from Jersey Shore. And unlike Snooki she actually looks good in a bikini. Plus if you actually listen to the lyrics (I don’t know why I did), she is everything the show is about.
Rumor has it that they are looking to replace most of the cast on the MTV reality show, I say we petition to get her on the show. Jersey needs to be represented and she would be perfect.

AI6’s Chris Sligh says Hello to Rascal Flatts!
January 20th, 2009 under American Idol 6. [ Comments: 5 ]

Remember the curly haired contestant from Season 6 of American Idol, Chris Sligh? Well now he is switching from the mic to the pen as one of his songs he co-wrote was recorded by Rascal Flatts called Here Comes Goodbye!

“Clint and I wrote this song on a Monday, recorded the demo on a Tuesday and that Wednesday Flatts’ label put it on hold,” he recalls. “To have Rascal Flatts be the very first artist to cut a song I’ve written is pretty unbelievable,” he said. “Songwriting has always been something I love, but this is just beyond any expectations I could have ever had. Clint and I felt it was a special song, but the band’s recording gives us chills and we’ve heard the song for almost a year. I can’t wait to see what happens with it.”

Here Comes Goodbye, that debuted on the radio yesterday, is the first single off Rascal Flatts new CD Unstoppable out on April 7th and I am sure that song will be saying Hello to the top of charts very soon! Chris Sligh’s second single Empty Me is currently climbing the charts!
It is nice to see that some of the former-American Idol contestants are doing well for themselves like Chris Sligh!

Sanjaya Malakar’s EP is coming on January 20th!
January 5th, 2009 under American Idol 6. [ Comments: 12 ]

All you Fanjayas it is time to rejoice because Sanjaya Malakar’s EP Dancing to the Music In My Head is coming out on January 20th and you can pre-order it now on Amazon. Not only can you pre-order it, you can listen to the 5 tracks there. Below is one of them and it is called A Quintessential Lullaby. I don’t know about you, but that song didn’t put me to sleep in fact it will give me nightmares tonight. I could barely get more than 5 seconds in to any song that I listened to, but then again I wasn’t a Fanjaya. In a way I feel like that famous girl that cried on American Idol when she listened to him sing and I just want to cry after hearing that album. But instead of crying because I am overjoyed, I am crying in pain.
BTW I will try to be nice and not say anything about that trippy album cover, but then again I don’t really have to because it totally speaks for itself!
