Dyn-o-mite, want to see a Good Times movie with the original cast?
March 1st, 2016 under 70s. [ Comments: none ]

Even though it has been over 35 years since Good Times has produced an original episode, it is still as current and fresh now as it was then. In fact, it is airing in syndication on several different networks because it is still just as popular.
Having said all of that, it makes sense that the original cast wants to do a reunion movie and their asking their fans to help make it happen with a Kickstarter campaign.
If you want to see The Evans Family, James (John Amos), JJ (Jimmie Walker), Thelma (Bern Nadette Stanis), Michael (Ralph Carter), their next door neighbor Willona (Ja’net Dubois) and their annoying handy Bookman (Johnny Brown) together again, then you have just a few days left to donate to their campaign. The more you give, the more you get. But we would all get a huge prize in the end and that would be seeing them all together again, reprising their most iconic beloved roles.
No word if they asked Penny to join them. Whether Janet Jackson can do it or not, she should give them the rest of them money to make our and their dream a reality. It is just pennies for Penny, right?
If you want this to happen as much as I do, then donate to their Kickstarter campaign ASAP.

Imagine Burt Reynolds as James Bond or Hans Solo
November 17th, 2015 under 70s. [ Comments: 1 ]

Burt Reynolds has an autobiography out called But Enough About Me and in it he details some of the infamous roles he turned down. Can you imagine ’70s biggest sex symbol as Bond, James Bond? Actually, I could, but he couldn’t and he told Good Morning America’s Lara Spencer why he turned it down. He said, “I said, ‘An American can’t play James Bond. It has to be an Englishman. Bond, James Bond. You know, I can’t do it.’” Other roles he said he couldn’t do are Star Wars’ Han Solo and Terms of Endearment’s Garrett Breedlove which eventually went to Jack Nicholson.
Not only did he turn down movies, he also turned down his one true love, Sally Field. When Spencer asked him if he thinks maybe they could get together now, he said “No. No. She’s too smart for that.” She is single, so maybe he can woe her during a moment of weakness. And maybe we can get one more Smokey and the Bandit movie out of it? It’s a win/win!

This is the best and ballsiest Family Feud answer ever!
September 21st, 2015 under 70s, Family Feud. [ Comments: 1 ]

Steve Harvey asked Kevin on Family Feud, “Tell me the last thing you stuck your finger in?” With very little hesitation, he said, “My wife!” His wife, looked in complete shock after he said it, but yet she gave him a double high five to let him know it was a good answer…during the show. Then when she got him home, I am sure she stuck her finger in a lot of places we can’t talk about.
Back to Harvey, he too was in shock when he heard the answer. So much so, he had to sit down. Once he absorbed what Kevin just said, the host told the contestant that is “favorite answer of all time!” And ours too.
Now that we know the answer was somehow not on the board, it was time for Harvey to ask Ryan that question? Before he let her answer he looked at her husband, who declared, “No sir!”
There is so much awesomeness to that answer, but my favorite part is when you hear Kevin’s mom say, “That’s my boy, Steve!” I don’t know if I would be proud of my son if he said that on national television.

Which sister does Cindy Brady aka Susan Olsen like better?
June 12th, 2015 under 70s, The Brady Bunch. [ Comments: 1 ]

Susan Olsen aka Cindy Brady did an interview with and she didn’t hold back.
When they asked her if it’s true that her older TV sisters, Maureen McCormick and Eve Plumb don’t get along. Cindy Brady said, “They do not. I think it’s kind of petty. From day one with these two I have always been in the middle and now it’s at the point where there isn’t even a desire to communicate through me.” Explaining, “It’s all really petty, but if your feelings get hurt when you’re really young, some people carry it with them. Or maybe to them, moving on means moving away.” So who does she like better? She went back to her tattletale days to declare, “I understand both sides of the story but I’m a little more inclined to be sympathetic to Eve.”
Marcia, Marcia, Marcia is doing a reality show Down Under, so they wanted to know if Olsen had any good stories about her oldest TV sis. Here’s her story, “When we were all at Hollywood Professional School, Susan Cowsill, who also went there, became very good friends with Maureen. They used to go shoplifting just as a sport and one day they got caught and Maureen bolted and hid in a car for hours and let Susan take the rap for it.”
While that is the crime she alleges McCormick committed, Olsen has her own history. Susan claims that her and her ex-husband used to grow pot even though she didn’t she like smoking it. So why did she do it? She explained, “It was really fascinating and I’ve always been into ‘gardening’ and it’s such a complicated, wonderfully fascinating plant.” The complicated, wonderfully fascinating plant, lead to the demise of that marriage.
Now that you know which sister Cindy prefers, which Brady sister do you wish was yours? I always wanted Cindy for a sister.

May 19th, 2015 under 70s. [ Comments: 3 ]

Anson Williams shared a photo of himself in just a pair of knee length shorts and he actually has a really hot bod! Can you believe Potsie Weber is 65 years old because he has many Happy Days ahead of him with those abs. Now I get why Joanie was so infatuated with him! Well, I knew it back then too as soon as I heard him singing Pump Your Blood!
BTW here is a video of Anson Williams learning how to cook Sloopy Joes, a recipe from Taste of Home, with his daughter, Hannah!
