Behind the Music is back on July 29th
May 17th, 2021 under Busta Rhymes, Huey Lewis, J-Lo, Paramount+, Ricky Martin. [ Comments: none ]

Remember when VH1 used to air Behind the Music, and we learned the scandalous life stories of musicians we knew and didn’t know about? Well, it is back on July 29th, and it is available exclusively on Paramount+.

The artists they are focusing on for season 1 are Jennifer Lopez, LL Cool J, Ricky Martin, Huey Lewis, Busta Rhymes, and Fat Joe.

Who do you want them to go behind the music with for the second season because you know there is going to be one? I also want follow-ups on celebrities they did the first time, like Leif Garret.

Busta Rhymes is kicking it back old skool
March 8th, 2016 under Busta Rhymes. [ Comments: none ]

Back in the ’90s, Busta Rhymes wore a high ponytail of dreads, and he recently donned them again. Why? He is going to guest star as himself on the ’90s based show Fresh Off the Boat.
He is not the first singer to do this on an ABC show this year, Weird Al Yankovic also put on a wig to play his old self on The Goldbergs which takes place in the ’80something.
Who will be next? We will just have to keep tuning into FOTB on Tuesdays at 8p and The Goldbergs Wednesdays at 8:30p. I am rooting for Pat Benetar, Cyndi Lauper, Vanilla Ice or MC Hammer to recapture their youths on these sitcoms. Who do you want see go back in time?

Busta Rhymes busted again
May 3rd, 2007 under Arrested, Busta Rhymes. [ Comments: none ]

It has been a few weeks since Busta Rhymes was arrested, so I guess his time was due. Busta was pulled over by police last night because the car he was driving had overly tinted windows according to AP. When the police officer stated talking to him he smelled alcohol on his breath and proceeded to arrest Busta. He is expected to be arraigned today on charges of driving while impaired.

Seriously when is Busta going to realize he shouldn't do anything illegal (like drive drunk with tinted windows) while he is in NYC because the NYPD has his number?

NYPD still hates Busta Rhymes
March 11th, 2007 under Busta Rhymes. [ Comments: none ]

A movie production company was forced to begin its first day of shooting Saturday without Busta Rhymes after the NYPD raised security concerns. The Police Department declined to detail its specific concerns about Rhymes, who angered officers last year when he refused to cooperate with the investigation of his bodyguard's murder. The man was shot during the filming of a music video. Rhymes is a cast member in "Order of Redemption," which began shooting in midtown Manhattan. Julianne Cho, associate commissioner with the Mayor's Office of Film, Theatre & Broadcasting, confirmed the shooting had started — and that Rhymes was absent. "The production agreed that Busta Rhymes would not be participating in the scenes shot here after the Police Department raised public safety concerns," Cho said in a statement. The crime drama, starring Academy Award nominee Tom Berenger, is shooting scenes in New York City on 14 nonconsecutive days into early April. Cho said the production had the necessary permits.

He would not be going through all of this if she just cooperated with the NYPD in the first place. He made his bed and now he is lying in it.

Busta busted again
February 23rd, 2007 under Arrested, Busta Rhymes. [ Comments: none ]

Busta Rhymes was busted again yesterday – this time for driving without a license in lower Manhattan – barely a day after appearing before a judge on two assault charges. The "Touch It" rapper was pulled over at 6 a.m. after he allegedly ran a red light at Warren Street and Broadway. He got out of the car and told cops, "You hide behind the shield. This is bulls – – -," prosecutors said. He later told police he thought the officers were robbers posing as cops. Cops charged Rhymes yesterday with operating a vehicle without a license. He was released on his own recognizance and did not comment as he left Manhattan Criminal Court last night. On Tuesday, a judge offered Rhymes a sentence of three years on probation, six months of anger management and three weeks of community service on charges of beating up his former driver and a fan.

I still say if he would have cooperated with the cops when his bodyguard was shot and killed, he would not be arrested every few weeks.
