It’s Superman and Supergirl!
July 28th, 2016 under Superman/Spider-Man. [ Comments: none ]

Ever since The CW announced that Tyler Hoechlin was going to play Superman on Supergirl, we have wondered what he would look in the red cape. Now we know and he looks super. Best looking Man of Steel since Henry Cavill.
Seriously though, I am even more excited to see him in the role than I was before.
And if all goes well, maybe The CW will have their fifth night of a DC Comics’ Superheros with a Superman spinoff. It’s been long enough since Smallville ended.

Superman is flying over to Supergirl!
June 6th, 2016 under DC Comics, Superman/Spider-Man. [ Comments: none ]

We are finally going to meet a new Superman on Supergirl because Clark Kent is coming to National City. According to DC Comics, he hasn’t been cast yet but he will be in the first two episodes at least.
I am still holding out hope that Tom Welling will reprise his role, but rumor has it he has been hesitant (OK a D!ck) about putting on the red cape.
So who should play the role? That is a tough one. Call me strange, but I kind of like the idea of Taylor Lautner in the role. I also wish that Darren Kagasoff was a little bit more muscular because he would be perfect for the role. Who do you think should get it?
Who knows, maybe if they are good enough, DC Comics will have a fifth show on The CW. Smallville has been off the air long enough to bring it back with an older 20something Superman. Right?

Is Batman or Superman Bridget Jones’ baby daddy?
March 30th, 2016 under Batman, Jimmy Kimmel, Renee Zellweger, Superman/Spider-Man. [ Comments: none ]

Last week the first trailer came out for Bridget Jones’ Baby and Batman vs Superman was released in the theaters. Jimmy Kimmel Live thought it would be brilliant to combine the two for one Batastic trailer. You know what it is so super, I wish someone would actually make Batman & Superman vs Bridget Jones. Don’t you?

Batman vs Superman says knock you out at the box office!
March 27th, 2016 under Batman, Superman/Spider-Man. [ Comments: none ]

Batman vs Superman brought in an estimated $170,100,000 this weekend in The US, making it the #1 opening weekend at the box office in the Spring, in March, during the Easter holiday weekend, for DC Comics, for Batman and for Superman releases to date. According to Box Office Mojo, it earned around $40,099 per theater and it was shown in 4,242 theaters. Pretty super!
So super, it makes sense that Jimmy Fallon had the animated versions of Batman and Superman sing LL Cool J’s Mama Say Knock You Out because that is what it did to a lot of other previous record holders.
One interesting note, even though DC comics dominates on the small screen, it does not translate to the big screen. Batman vs Superman has the 4th best opening weekend in the comic book world, Marvel Comics still holds the top three slots.

Keri Russell warns herself not to get that awful Felicity haircut
March 24th, 2016 under Full House, Seth Meyers, Superman/Spider-Man. [ Comments: none ]

Yesterday, on Late Night with Seth Meyers, Keri Russell, John Stamos, Henry Cavill and John Goodman all told their younger selves not to do something that would forever change their lives.
Felicity was up first and she told herself not to chop off her hair because the fans, like me, would turn against her. She hasn’t forgiven them for all the hate mail, just like I haven’t forgiven her for doing it. Have you?
Uncle Jesse surprises us with something he did when he was 18. Superman reveals something so shocking that he still can’t handle it today. Then there was Dan Conner and he can’t duck his past.
Now, can we talk about skinny John Goodman? I am still not used to it. He kind of looks like George Clooney, but hotter.

BTWF roles: Henry Cavill in Laguna
March 21st, 2016 under Before They Were Famous, Superman/Spider-Man. [ Comments: none ]

Before Henry Cavill lost his parents at a young age in Superman, he suffered the same fate in Laguna. How gorgeous was the 18 year old in that 1991 movie?

Henry Cavill is unrecognizable even with a Superman shirt!
March 17th, 2016 under Superman/Spider-Man. [ Comments: none ]

A video posted by Henry Cavill (@henrycavill) on

Henry Cavill is starring one of the biggest movies of the year and yet the people of Manhattan had no clue who he is even though he was wearing shirt with his character’s emblem on it. He thinks it is because he wasn’t wearing Clark Kent’s glasses, but c’mon New Yawkers, there are billboards all over the place for Superman vs Batman. If I were there, I wouldn’t recognize him either. Same way I don’t ever recognize celebs here in Hollywood.

Mehcad Brooks wants you to learn how to say his name!
January 18th, 2016 under DC Comics, Superman/Spider-Man. [ Comments: none ]

Mehcad Brooks has been acting for almost 15 years now and he has had several starring roles; yet people can’t seem to say his first name correctly. So Supergirl‘s Jimmy Olsen shot a PSA explaining how to properly say Mehcad. It is very simple, it is Ma-cod. Now that you know how to say Mehcad, can someone tell me how to say his last name?
BTW watch him tonight at 8p on CBS in all new episode of the super superhero show.

UPDATE: He also needs to do a PSA for people like me who can say his first name, but can’t spell it.

Smallville’s Supergirl is joining Supergirl
January 12th, 2016 under DC Comics, Superman/Spider-Man. [ Comments: none ]

Helen Slater, who was the big screen Supergirl, is playing her mom on the CBS drama, and now the actress who played the role on Smallville is also joining the show. Laura Vandervoot Tweeted, “Thrilled to be announcing I’ll be recurring as #Indigo on @supergirlcbs So proud of the cast & this series. #Honored”
I love that Supergirl, like Smallville, is casting people who starred in previous versions of Superman and Supergirl. Dean Cain, who played Clark Kent on Lois & Clark, plays her dad. I can’t wait until Tom Welling finds a place on the show. Hopefully he’ll reprise his role since we have yet to meet him. How super would that be?

Batman v Superman looks cheesy
December 2nd, 2015 under Batman, Superman/Spider-Man. [ Comments: none ]

The first trailer is out for Batman v Superman, and I am like all that hype for that? It looks so super cheesy, even cheesier than when George Clooney played the Dark Knight. But I am not the audience for this movie, so don’t listen to my opinion. While I won’t be there on March 25th, I am sure millions and millions of people will be there to see this film.
Oh and I am not mentioning Wonder Woman because she is not even worth a mention.
